How works Execution?
Hello!

I want to try Execution tree. Tell me in which case execution is possible. As far as I understand, I need to "kill" the enemy, bring his hit points to zero, and then with some probability execution will be possible? Or is execution possible with any strike? Is it possible to somehow disable the execution animation (in my opinion, this works for too long)?

There is another type of execution where you have to push a button at some point while attacking an enemy. It's like a little quick time event. A message pops up on screen when you have to push the button.
The char then performs a little special move/execution. It's not like executing the big guys.

Execution opportunity occurs at chance when an enemy would die. Some larger enemies like hellbrutes will make you auto execute them if you kill them in melee but other enemies require an additional input (F key on keyboard by default) to execute them.

There is an option in the options menu labeled elaborate executions that removes the time slow and camera spin from auto executions. Manual executions have a very short animation.

Helpful hint ... this works best in small (as in no more than three enemies at a time) groups, since in larger ones, the symbol sometimes gets inundated by other things.

Like blood, guts, explosions, fire, the environment, all that ick on the floor, barricades, inexplicable rectangular pits in the ground that make no architectural sense whatsoever ... oh, and larger enemies that conveniently step in front of the guy you're trying to execute just as you're about ready to make him/her/it go splut. That's always fun.

Eventually, though, if you're going for the achievement, you'll get it. After that, it's just yet another enjoyable way to dispatch creatures of The Bleh.
