3k+ on Valorous Heart

I can see people getting 5k+ on the Valorous Heart mission (added as part of Maelstrom of Carnage DLC) but I'm really struggling to get more than 3k. I'm a melee Assassin and can't really see the point of the 10 strikes since I generally kill everything in the circle before it fires. Am I doing something wrong / is there a specific tactic or build to get 5k+?

The yellow triangles are worth 100 big guys worth 20 my slow crusader with no dps gets 3000+ by b lining to those while aggro as many gribblies as possible for the strike to clear..ie. 2 yellow triangle kill is worth 200 normal kills or about one strikes worth. A fast assassin can prob hop through them pretty fast. Try to time yourself to kill 5 yellow triangle bosses per strike and that'll be 5000? Idk just my thpughts

Managed 3.3k this time by aiming for the yellow bosses, they only give +50 though :( It does feel like case of kiting loads of mobs about whist quickly nailing the yellow bosses and then let the little ones get zapped is the right way forward. I think I could prob get 4k if I consistently get a good load of followers each strike.

Oh my bad, yea if I want a good amount of relics I gotta keep running nonstop thought it was 100. Still 3k gets you 6 cases I think in about 6-8 minutes if you do that for 30 minutes you got a couple pages worth of relics to sort through for ones you like..200 fate and like 2.5million. Not bad for a 3$ DLC imo

Where do I find the leaderboard for that mission? (States there is one in the DLC). I've done 2 runs with 5.3 -5.5k at the end but no leaderboard

Go to the terminal that shows the leaderboards. Click on leaderboards tab at the top. Click on arrows to page over till you get to maelstrom of carnage.

Just in case, the terminal is just left of the star map table past ragna.

What build / tactics did you use to get 5k+ then?

I can still only get 3.5 as melee assassin.

I think CoS is still more lucrative in terms of relics, putting the main topic aside real quick.

Give that a try, if items are your objective.

The rewards seem equal but you can go through MoC much faster I stopped CoS after about 2200 kills and got 7 chests where I could have ran 2-3 MoC and had 12-18. Still was fun to kill dark eldar though :D

As far as I can tell, I'm getting 3-4 relics per box* from CoS as apposed to only getting systematically 1 from MoC

Hmm what score are you getting to? I was using my 80 account and I would typically get 1 relic 1 artificer per box which is what I get for MoC. If I can replicate that rate then it would be quite better
