How to make a melee assassin survivable?
I was enjoying this character until about level 35, when the game seemed to take an immediate turn to a significantly higher difficulty, and I'm dying a lot and failing missions with my melee assassin. Trying to use the 2h power sword, because I like the attacks that immediately jump me into close combat. But at this point I can barely do anything, and I even made a full set of new items for myself.

Haven't had any difficulty under normal conditions with my Crusader. But I have also found melee as a Tech Adept to also be very difficult.

Anyways, what perks and abilities should I get in order to not die constantly?

Or just throw in the towel and go back to plasma cannon/multi melta crusader? :steamhappy:

I assume you've already taken the health and defense trees? Have you tried getting a weapon with % health gained on crit enchant? Ends up being something like 2000 health every other hit. Honestly, I would assume it's pretty much the same as making a survivable ranged crusader, just with less base DR on your armor.

yeah everyone who makes an assassine goes through this but dont worry if you follow alans advise 2 points in def tree (20% armor bottom right) 3 points in health tree (50% less supp dmg top right)

a weapon enchat that gives you hp on hit crit hit or what ever you will be able to surv it still can be hard at some poiunt till you have a good build but trust me its worth it have a look at dual null rods insane fun with low cooldowns

yeah like i said get low cooldowns for mobility skills like jump attacks helps a lot to survive

you then just jump from one enemy group to another while dodging there bullets

Get the Nephrine-monger perk, to unlock it you have to afflict shock, burn, or poison to a total of 500 enemies.
It will provide 2% dodge per unspent class-resource and +20% dodge when your class resource is full.
Also use the Stealth Bodysuit armour as it has twice as much max damage reduction as the other two armours.
Another tip would be to re-roll some stats into damage reduction, resist, and dodge.

I dual wield Arc Blades, and used to use the two handed Arc Sword.
My build is loosely based on the "Lightning Goddess Assassin" Guide by Darksidewalker.

His build is rather outdated, so I improved on it as I levelled up, starting out using that guide was pretty useful.

Atm I have so much resist, damage reduction, and dodge that I just take no damage even when it comes to unlocking ancient relics that have the tag "don't take damage for 5 missions" etc I breeze through 5 missions in a row without taking any damage to my hit points.

However with my build I have a lot of shock feedback loops, explosions, etc and mobs with reflect can kill me so I have to get the doctrine that reduces reflected damage by 80% for those missions.

Also all this dodge, resist, and damage reduction has draw backs as any enchants / doctrines that require me to get hit in order to be activated and stack buffs are redundant to me as I don't get hit.

Here is some image's of my character stats, item enchants, and passive trees
As you level up that's something you may want to go for

Due to a lot of my main item enchants and psalm doctrines a lot of mobs pretty much explode when I run within 5-10 meters of them as the shock feed back loops just keep bouncing around.
And throughout missions I constantly stack my void shield to the point it's at 10k-15k+ at the end of the mission, since my void shield doesn't benefit from dodge, resist, or damage reduction it goes down rather quick however applying a stack restores all stacks to full energy.

There is a guy that has an Ancient Relic Purity Seal that has the enchant "Stunned enemies explode on Kill, dealing area damage equivalent to +900% of the killing blow's Damage" on his Tech Adept, which is something I'm trying to farm to make my lightning goddess even more insane.
