As I already said, I'm aware of channeled skills not properly triggering on-hit effects. However, they DO work with Impact Necrosis, which is on-crit, multiple times per single channel.
Can you elaborate?
Oh rly? Well was running with hvy bolter but its starts to suck again on +8.
I know. Please re read my original post. Or don't. After the patch I switched to the boltgun, so...
Yes i did and i gave you explanation twice that it works.
You told me that channeled skills don't trigger on-hit abilities...which I already knew and put in the OP.
Then you told me that Impact Necrosis works because it's on-crit...which I already knew and put in the OP AND a later response.
If "it works" refers to Berserker Rage working with Grav Surge, then this is the first time you've said so. It doesn't explain why it doesn't seem to have any effect (1% HP at least twice per second should be very obvious), but like I said, I don't really care anymore, as I've switched away from the Grav Gun.
After the nerf, it simply isn't worth trying to build around a channeled skill that doesn't trigger half the effects in game and MAYBE triggers some of the rest, but constantly requires investigation just to determine when or how much. I miss the pwnage of the old grav gun, but with the new Boltgun, passives and procs actually work as they're supposed to. It's refreshing.
X%HP on crit was also kinda nerfed with 2.0 release. But it still works.
Grav gun is still one of the best rangend weapons, you just need to use items that fit for it.
Yes we're not supposed to know how things work here, they abandon their old wiki and did also no updates to compendium regarding wrong doctrines.
I'm not saying Grav Gun is dead or anything, what I'm saying is that Grav Gun is more complicated to build around due to channeling being weird (as well as being a combo heat/physical weapon). It was worth it to deal with that when Grav Gun was the only game in town, but now it isn't. Now there are guns that are good AND have mechanics that work and make sense.
