Season pass confusion (PS4 player here)
So to make this short, I got the Imperial Edition on PS4, and so far, I love the game. Not sure what I expected, but this is a lot of fun to play. :-)

However, I'm confused about the season pass. Some people say it's all new stuff, and both console players and PC players will get the same content. But others say the season pass on console is content the PC players got for free? Others again say we console players already have all the free content the PC players got. So you can see why I am a bit confused here.

You have been misinformed on several counts I think.

Season pass is nothing to do with "seasons" - a Season pass is a collection of DLC's, none of which we have had on the PC version yet. It's something like 22? (please check) small DLC drops over the next year.

Make sure to fact check what folk tell you xD

I think what ladyerica is wanting clerification on is wanting to make sure neocore isn't gonna pull a left 4 dead 2 on console players (console players had to pay for all the DLC while PC players got them for free). the main reason people are thinking this is the description for the season pass talks about adding races and planets (things PC has been getting for free) but there's nothing saying that PC won't be having to pay for future content.

The psn store description is completely different from the steam store shop page. The free seasonal content is not mentioned at all. Only you can uncover the secret of the Martyr etc use vehicles and turrets etc free seasonal content is not mentioned. Confusion.

There is one easy test you can do on your version though. Can you play the additional dark eldar content? it is available at powerrating 1100+. If you can play those missions against dark eldars, your version is the same as the standard pc version without season pass. You can not buy a season pass at all in the steam store. I did not see the option.

They mentioned there will be more paid DLC in the future. I dont know what dlc will be part of the season pass. I can not comment that.

Thanks, guys. I'm only power level 174 or so right now, so I can't test the Dark Eldar stuff. Sounds pretty cool, though. That said, we do have Warzones that requires me to be power level 1100. But anyway, I just wanted to know if I have to pay for stuff you PC players get for free, and it seems I won't. :-)

Season pass has nothing to do with Dark eldar.

Seasons have nothing to do with season pass.

Seasons are free. For Pc and for Console.

The "Season pass" for console contains 22 DLC's which will drop over the next year, all of which is content totally seperate to what is included within a "season"

For PC players, we will be paying money (or possibly fate) for these if we want them.

Hope that makes more sense.

Thanks again, guys. The whole thing boils down to the PC gamers getting free stuff, so I just wanted to know if we console players also get it for free, or if we have to pay for it. Glad to hear we did get it for free. :-)

I was thinking the same thing, trying to figure out why i would dish out $106.99 on PS4 when i can get the game for $59.99 via steam and possibly cheaper due to sales.

To be fair, the whole thing with Left for Dead kinda made sense. Sony charges companies when they release updates( and who knows what other fees ). Meaning Valve had to spend money to release them on consoles while, since Valve and Steam are pretty much the same, it didn't cost them one cent to release them on PC.
