Chaos Marines helping Dark Eldar? Seriously?

I could understand why the Rebel Imperial Soldiers are helping the Dark Eldar, it was explained in the story missions.

But Traitor Marines? Why are they fighting alongside the Dark Eldar? Doesn't make sense...

Eldar work with anyone to achieve their aims. Its always temporary, allies today enemies tomorrow. DE would never ally with Emperor's Children for obvious reasons though.

Chaos marines think D'Eldar are litteral scum, not even worthy, what makes it far worse is that they are Word Barers, the most Anti-Xenos of them all.

Even in the latest lore, the chaos marines are not really completely united. Having certain Leaders and their factional forces still independent, such alliances still happen. There is more bad blood between the Legions than with any xenos thats for sure.

True, but in the lore, no traitor legion would fight alongside any xenos. They might use them as cannon fodder but given that DE would love to have the bodies of marines to play with, this combat alliance is highly strange.

Actually no, Dark Eldar are terrified of Slaanesh, since Slaanesh wants to consume the souls of all Eldar. So, the Emperors Children would be even more inclined to kill DE to please their patron god

Dark Eldar are afraid of Chaos, thair souls are constantly eaten away by slaanesh and beeing close to chaos makes this effect stronger. Also the warbands they are working with are all Chaos Undividet wich wuld make it even more likely for the warbands to just sacrifice them to slaanesh who wuld be very found of that. They even band the usage of psy for all thair people becaus its just to risky. thair debaucharus ways just makes thair souls even more tasty for Deamons.
its more likeley for them to kill all all those wo worship chaos before they can do real damage.

and if they use them its more in a passiv then a pro active way, they wuld attack outposts and small worlds in a subsector thats at the moment occupied with a chaos incursion but they wuld never fight along side chaos becaus it wuld just kill them.
