@Devs - Where the Death Guard at?

Death Guard... nope? Why not? Just some random Plague Marines here and there with no Legion affilliation apparently.

I mean, the C.Space Marines are all in-game already. For some reason they just aren't given the Death Guard moniker... They very clearly have the Death Guard colours, too.

I think the monikers are odd sometimes too. Take Word Bearers, their missions don't list them as Word Bearers but Chaos. Yet Plague Marines are listed as Plague Vanguard. Alpha and Black legions are listed as Alpha and Black. Why aren't Word Bearers listed as Wordbearer? I'm hoping it becomes evident.

Yeah it is kinda incosistent like that and it bugs my inner nerd.

All the Nurgle CSMs should be called "Death Guard X" or "Death Guard Y" because based on their models that is clearly what they are...

Off the top of my head: Brotherhood of the Plague, Germinatoris, Weeping Legion, Apostles of Contagion, Bilious Ones, Carion Hounds, Filthfavoured (lol at that name) amd The Purge and I'm prety sure theres plenty more out there, are all Nurgle warbands. And ALL use the same Plague marine models because that's how nurgle forces look. The beauty of nurgle is that those guys don't give a crap about color schemes or anything, as long as it's filth and decay. So realy, any nurgle warband can sub for another, unless you flavor yours as having a thing for neon-pink (in which case eww ... why would you make an STD themed warband by combining slaneesh and nurgle) or other such bs.

Realy chaos is a bit limited when working withing the confines of the Big 4. because each of them has a specific theme. The only ones that get some freedom to customize are Tzeench themed armies, and to a lesser degree slaneesh. Nurgle will always be decayed, cororded, green filth encrusted plate and Khorne ... well yeah arterial red anyone? Preferably not even a paintjob, just left-overs from the latest kill. If it ever has a chance to coagulate and turn brown, you are a bad khornate and need to do penance by murder.

Undivided on the other hand can be anything they want.

Nurgle mutations are pretty uniformal across all Warbands, yes, but I'm talking about their armour colour scheme which is clearly and obviously Death Guard.

EDIT: Also, the reason why all those little Warbands you mention use the same models/colours is because they originated from the Death Guard to begin with, not because Nurgle turns them all alike when it comes to that sort of thing.

Death guard never had a color scheme. They used unpainted armor. At best when they fell they had green trims. Their armor turned the puke green it has due to nurgle contagion. They did not sudenly decide to paint it after time in the warp. Nurgle marines barely care enough to maintain their armor in anything resembling decent condition, you expect me to believe they have an actual paint-job? No, their color scheme IS nurgle contagion and how it affected them, and their once again UNPAINTED armor from the heresy days till modern 40k. And once they go nurgle, the same lack of care for armor takes over any other marines and as such, their armor decays until they become basicaly identical to how the Death Guad look.

Also hilarious but no, not all of those are offshoots of the Death Guard, they just all gravitate towards puke green and corrosion because ... that's the nurgle aesthetic.

Just lke Khornate warbands will all go for arterial red and brass with plenty of skulls, Slaneesh warbands will reveal as much skin as possible and have gaudy colors focused around purple and neon-pink and Tzeench ... ok he can have anything realy.

No, they're literally whatever the CSM equivalent of successor Chapter is of the Death Guard Legion.
