Can anybody please simply explain the inoculator
Can somebody please break down inoculation and its customization. Like you're explaining it to your 40 year old uncle that doesn't get a lot of gamer talk.

Red/Salve = healy bits
Yellow/Booster = buffy bits
Green = bits that affect the other two, maybe through reducing the amount of time betwen inoculator uses, or increasing red's duration

Your inoculator has a set amount of uses. Shown on the bottom of the inoculator modification screen. What you put in stacks up uses. For example: Stimm is +1 usage, whereas Frenzon is +3 usage.

The "usage" is the max uses you can carry on you at once. Also determines how many you pick up from med boxes.

So let's say you have 5 uses on an inoculator.

You add +1 for Coagulant in a red slot, then you add +1 for Stimm in a Yellow slot. This means you'll carry around 2 uses of your incoulator (5 / 2 = 2.5 round down = 2).

Long story short, right click off the yellow icons and get a mostly red inoculator. That will work the way most people expect them to.

Thank you, trying it now.

Also keep in mind that there are healing chems in the inoculator that regenerate a percentage of HP over an amount of time and chems that regenerate a set amount of HP at once. Blood Balm for instance heals 20% of max HP per second for 20 seconds. For a tanky crusader build, one red component of Blood Balm and 3 green components of Extract will give you an inoculator that will keep you alive for a long, long time.

Yeah, blood balm is pretty good but access is not immediate.
At low level i'd recommend the 10% hp per second for 5s + the 5% hp per second for 20s. This composition only take 1 capacity for whatever reason there is. You'll heal quickly the major injurie and have a sustain for the incoming damage. Add on that a lowering cooldown and you're set.

Except of course you invest into field surgery, then cooldown is reset once below 25% HP anyway.

The Blood Balm unlock is in the Balthar System.

Another option is to stack hp on hit/crit/kill, then turn your inoculator from a life saver, into a life taker. The blood of heretics, and xenos scum are what sustains my inquisitor, and there's no cooldown to worry about, only a lack of enemies.

As much as I don't want to bump a two year old post...

Feeling so attacked, I need to walk uphill in a snowstorm with no shoes on to calm down.

Anybody know how to get an inoculator back after accidentally taking it off. All the inocs in my inventory are x'ed now, including the original one. I've got an adeptus dominus.

Oi, yous, I'm 42 so you know....tell it clear, yea?

Update: Not sure if chaos in the code or a dev fixed it. But it's fixed now. The Emperor Protects.

Only can be replaced in the main ship area. Lose it in while on a mission and it can't be changed.
