What is the best crusader leveling weapon?
Im level 11 now and find all gun types weak, im at power level close to 600 thx to relics, so i run campain in white missions and still guns seems so weak, flametrower is ok but you move really slow, and the weapon itself is slow aswell, grenade launcer is just...... and all other guns is also......The only weapon i find decent is greatsword, but then you are just weak.

I have leveled up psyker and assasin, they were almost just a run through it all when there weapons and damage seems alot better and higher than crusader. I have given up on crusader so many times but now I desided to try again for maybe 15th time.

Even when i leveled up my assasin sniper with only sniper weapon all the way it was alot faster then crusader. I hope the boooring trouble pays of later.

Need a bit help before i give up again....

Dual Bolt Pistols in my opinion.

Well, as far as Ranged go anyway.

Melee is far, far superior to range in this game.

multi meta with single target and heat is quick and easy. (3 skill of multi are taget single target.)

Maybe I'm alone on this , but I really like the Grav-Gun for good AoE against packs, switching to a two-handend melee for elites and such.

A good mix is generally acceptable like fast firing primary combined with a hard hitting armour breaker for tougher opponents.

Dual bolt is average fire rate in the general scheme of things but have some melee, some armour break/tougher opponent and AOE/crowd control ability uses thrown in to compensate.

Autorifle/pistols are fast and some allow a retreat/advance and fire abilities as well as the odd high damge shot thrown in, also a faster firing option when smaller melee units swarm you. Combine that with something like melta/plasma 2h as secondary to take out hard/armoured targets.

Lasgun/rifle/pistols work as well, they initially dont seem to be as effective due to the cooldown but putting points into the right skills helps with heat control. You could throw in a heavy weapon for the higherr damage or crowd control effect as a secondary but in most cases they are best used when stationary/expecting to move slowly. If you have dont mind swapping to secondary and back often then the heat cooldown wont get in your way... you could use heat buildup weapons both primary and secondary.

Everything seems to work when combined with an opposite secondary to combat enemy variation tbh, it also depends on playstyle and skill build.

Edit: thats if you want to focus on ranged.. some options at least, melee has been covered by others. A ranged/melee primary and secondary depending on playstyle wanted could work also.

since your lvl 11, go melee use 2handed axe for the movement skill it has on it, then use 2 hammer when u can, when your all geard up and full relics go back to 2h sword.

As I said i was level 11 back then so grav and multi is not an option since they are level 19 and 20. I have tryed auto gun/pistols, and lasgun none of them feels like doing enough damage i find the auto gun pistols to be alot weak. I try the dual bolt pistols now, but I dont like them they are very slow in attack speed and the the one that shoots faster very often dont hit targets.

right now i use eviscerator only and alot inculator, since i loose hp really fast with up to level gear. Im going for grav gun at level 20 and hope things speed up a bit. I use the 20% movement passive, or else I fall a sleep. And the 5% stackable damage passive, its the best option I have tryed so far.

Imho the 2h Axe is more versatile and faster than the Hammer, sorry for for the early Grav-Gun suggestion here as well, I'm just leveling up (23 atm) here as well, but when it unlocks, give it a try.

range?
Boltgun.
Effective both against armored targets and unarmored.
Has a good AoE. It does not slow down the speed of movement. And it has an excellent sound effect.
As an option try a boltpistol, suppression shield and assault armor.
sorry my english

I use 2 handed axe, and 2 handed hammer now, works better and clear speed is better aswell. ty for the advises, when I get 20 i go with grav gun im level 18 now so soon, im planning on using greatsword as weapon 2 since its great against big dudes.

Its a nice and helpfull cummunity here ty all for the answers.

I'd go melee in any case at that level, Greatsword is good weapon from start to finish (sometimes used in WZ, too). Same applies to Greataxe, except the cooldowns are higher (though weapon is efficient and have nice move skill). Both are available from lvl1. I wouldn't recommend Powersword + Shield (Powersword is weak), but if you're attached to sword+board - use Chainsword (lvl15) or Hammer (same) + Suppression Shield.

That is for melee...

Just for completion: 3x single & 2x AOE (since a kill results in AOE at 1 of the skills)

When I was leveling my crusader as a new player, completely blind, it was very painful. It quickly became clear that ranged weapons for crusader are very lackluster and I started to prefer melee combat.
I prefer Greataxe due to its increased mobility over Thunder Hammer (late option) and Greatsword. Greataxe also have armour breaking and a DOT build into it so it is decent all-round weapon capable dealing with packs of small enemies as well as armored targets such as elites and boss creatures.
Big change in ranged combat effectiveness for me was when I unlocked multi-melta gun. This gun is my secondary weapon until now, even if I do not really use it anymore at my end-game build. Multi-melta can be very effective without any specific investment in skill trees. It is great at quickly burning heavily armored targets and can also deal with swarms of small enemies.
