Depending on world it takes form of different myths and legends, vengeful god sending his angels to destroy foul xenos or heretical psykers, grand beast stalking jungles, the sun or in case of mechanicum, omnissiah the machine god.
It would simply be too much hassle to indoctrinate everyone into proper belief so imperium simply doesnt care as long as youre loyal and it isnt too chaosy.
In reality though mechanicum worships ctan burried beneath mars and imperium doesnt know about it and tbh even if they knew they cant really do ♥♥♥♥ about it cause who else is gonna make weapons
What no, a normal person cannot wear a suit of Termie Armor. Please be realistic ( In a Fantasy way) first off Space Marines have those socket thingies inbedded in thier bodies to interface with the suit directly, they get plugged into the Power Armor or Termie Armor and think walk, and they walk. Plus a normal person is what 2 feet shorter than the shortest Space Marine right? and an old ass Tech priest is what 2 feet shorter than a normal person, Plus Mechanicus tech Priest are only human in name, they belive that flesh is weak and the quicker they can replace fleshy bits of themselves with mechanical mods the faster they get closer to the Omnissiah. They would be better suited to build themselves into a Baneblade.
Plus pre heresy some of the Mechanicus believed the Emperor was the living incarnation of the Omnissiah.
Let me start by this, mechanicus believed in god machine before great crusade and emperor unification of terra.
Treaty of mars was signed at the start of great crusade allowing mechanicus to retain their religion ignoring imperial truth.
omnissiah is more modern interpretation of their belief after imperium turned from imperial truth to imperial creed and ecclesiarchy or inquisition might just decide that purity is more important than weapons.
Now you can easily use extra space saved by fitting smaller creature in there to add extra artifficial muscles and maybe make it movable(as ive never claimed it is definitely possible).
Btw this is how they made power armor agile for non astartes.
Also black carapace is needed if you want to use advanced systems of the suit, like life support, locking joints, using built in sensors. Moving is still done physically.
Finally, which chapter are you talking about that believes flesh is weak? cause fair share of them doesnt even believe in imperial creed.
They cut off their arms and legs and replace them with bionics for sh.ts and giggles.
After the experiences in the horus civil war all space marines chapters are suspiciously monitored. They do not get unlimited resources and their manpower is kept in check. No more space marine legions of 1 million marines. To keep a balance of power in case a space marine chapter is corrupted so other imperial forces can deal with them. They are revered and feared by normal people.
The chapter that questions the imperial creed and the daily politics would be the Black Templar. They are still fighting the Great Crusade and are tired of defending the empire. They want to conquer the galaxy. But all have slightly different beliefs and rituals.
And the power armor is available in less advanced version for normal persons too. Even the terminator armor. There are termintor armors for inquisitors or imperial field marshals in the tabletop. And normal persons can have cybernetical implants too. Adeptus Mechanikus skitarri e.g. are complete cyborgs clad in armor. Not that much difference from a power armor.
most likely not gonna happen, you play a inquisitor in this game, grey knights are not inquisitors.
It was never mentioned in Martyr which part of the inquisition we are or was it? If we are lucky we are ordo hereticus and get the sisters of battle as support.
Ordo malleum could be in Martyr we fight demons. The Ordo xenos could be too if we get gene stealers in a later expansion.
Ordo Hereticus is really the only Ordo that makes sense to me here. The others are specialized for facing specific threats and VERY good at facing said threats. That is not to say the Ordo Malleus cannot send Grey Knights to smash traitors or heretics. Of course they can but it would be a waste of resources and time. Same with the Deathwatch.
Ordo Hereticus are generalists and specialized in investigating odd things. Need an anti-Imperial cult burned to the ground? They can do it. Need a possible demon summoner put to the question? They can do it. Got a renegade regiment of Guardsmen? They can handle that. Need to find out what that so-slimy-it-is-an-insult-to-slime Imperial Governor is planning when he visits his mistress? On it.
They are the brooms that sweep out the dark corners of the Imperium.
A broom with a heavy flamer attached... My kind of broom.
Adepts - logic analysator and combat strategists.
Arbitrator . Policemen, judge dredd style mix out of melee and ranged combat.
Assassin - we have that
Cleric- power to the people. motivation and leadership, healing powers? suppression support?
guardsmen - combat class it is the crusader in a way.
psyker - we have that
scum - convicted criminals dirty fighting style
tech-priest - adeptus mechanicus
adepta sororita - sister of battle
Grey knight. Elite class.
What else, ah ultrasmurfs.
Space wolves are outright heretical with bloodletting and worshiping deamons.
Imperium doesnt know about dark angels traitors or they would become traitors aswell.
As for blood angels, well sanguinius was a good boy.
I think you mistake something
imperial truth=state atheism enforced by big e during great crusade
imperial creed=current state religion based on book written by lorgar who turned traitor
codex astartes=book written by spiritual liege outright destroying most potent military force imperium had contributing to its current downfall.
Black templars and red hunters are examples of few chapters that actually adhere to imperial creed. But then black templars piss all over codex astartes and red hunters are outright aligned with inquisition.
Ordos will hunt everything that theyll come across, but they are specifically searching for specific threats.
Remember that eisenhorn was ordo xenos yet throughout all 3 books there was barely any xenos to fight.
Now ordo hereticus arent general, they are very specific about non chaos traitors, ppl who betray imperium but doesnt turn to chaos, like goge vandire(reason for ordo creation btw), drakan vangorich, silly imperial commander who decided to desert and take imperial planet for himself, or some silly rogue trader who got caught trading with xenos. Stuff like that.
Finally each of ordos can call for its favorite force.
ordo xenos - deathwatch
ordo hereticus - sororitas
ordo malleus - grey knight
Now from story in the game, even investigations where we happen to fight some rebels ultimately end with some chaos corruption meaning its job for ordo malleus.
The black templar are not okay with the daily politic to only defend the empire. They want to expand, to get the great crusade rolling again. They dont care about imperial citizens, 1 space marine is worth a million civilians in their eyes, unlike the Salamander who would sacrifice a marine squad for a child.
Space wolves are not heretics. They do not worship demons. They even fight the greatest demons head on, like Magnus the Red. They have a tainted blood line like every space marine chapter. And they have some dark secrets. They worship the allfather = emperor and Leman Russ for obvious reasons. But all first founding chapters worship their primarchs.
Blood angels are not heretical too. They are vampires okay but at the same time the fiercest warriors of the empire. Their blood just burns too hot.
All the first founding chapters are tainted by chaos, some more some less. Most primarchs were heavily influenced by chaos when they were cast all over the galaxy. Some primarchs had it lucky like rogal dorn, roboult guilliaume. Some had it hard like Angron or Konrad Kurze.
Dark angels secrets are known to the upper echolon of the inquisition. Not the total truth but some parts are known. Not even the dark angels themselves know everything. Only some individuals know about their dark secret.
As for space wolves, rune priests worship deamons as there are no other spirits in 40k universe, no matter what they claim.
