If one has the magazine but not the game the code is an incentive to try another product with a nominal incentive.
If one has the game they already have the reward but need to wait, encouraging the picking up of said magazine and exposure to more contect from ip publisher.
If one has both, they're already fully supporting the IP publisher and the promo code is a loyalty reward.
Threads like this just serve to raise awareness and support the advertising regardless of the content they post.
I buy the White Dwarf every month, but still, I don't like that.
Everything now offered in gaming is well ahead of the games that came in the box and at a fraction of the price and people still ♥♥♥♥♥ about it. I won't ever get "white dwarf" or anything else that gives content with codes and you know I still don't care because if someone had not come in here and said anything about it, no one would be the wiser and all would still be playing the game the way they have been all this time.
The ones complaining are just the ones jealous of something someone else has that they don't.
Hint, that's life, it ain't fair.
This is a new low in vidya land.
yeah that woudl be nice since a bunch of things that should give me attributes points are bugged rn
Do not forget also the 15% discount on cost of game, that is assuming that the card is factually accurate and, that it has not been increased by 15% since we purchased it.
What I find somewhat confusing is the description of these being 'bonus' missions if they are going to be available to all, etc.
Reading the forums and getting to know people here was worth the price alone, if i may say so.
Always carry your bolter with you. Have fun.
E/A too content being sold as a bonus is just jargon, let's be honest. The bonus is that you get to play them a few weeks earlier. Having played them I can confirm it's just three copy pasted missions for +1 attribute point. If it were anything more i'd see some reason for annoyance.
Oddly enough the 15% discount is the same cost as the bloody magazine too, at least in the UK. xD I do find it surprising and a little odd though given there was insitance there would be no sales pre launch.
But hey, perhaps the awareness will generate some interest for the launch. One shouldn't pass up an opportunity to promote the game via the WD. Wouldn't be surprised if the included code was a requirement of the interview. Mags often demand stuff like this as a means to promote themselves. It's a bit odd but hey, I used to be an Xbox player. I'm used to Sony getting certain items exclusive or for an extra year because they wanted to pay to have "exclusives" - curse that practice.
Confirming.
My very old laptop was what had put me off from trying, but the interview and a little off the price meant that if it worked fair game to me. If not then I had the 2hr window under Steams TOS to get a refund. I aleardy get White Dwarf so a Brucie Bonus is just that a bonus, I hope more readers make the plunge and get this game as more players means more to the devs and we get more content in the end.
I think this can be said to the internet crowd, but grrow up, really is something some of you need to do.
