The Data Sanctum Still Ridiculous.
Even heavily overleveled, the streaming enemies from all sides, many of which can 2 shot the frail tech priest is still daft.

I was hoping that the 'difficulty spikes' in the patch notes referred to this terrible mission. I have no problems with difficult content, but this is pure RNG frustration.

What class are you running it as?

I used the gun drop suit and I was able to ace it. Over gearing helps as well.

don't bring single target weapon only, prepare second set as area attack(attack continuosly, not skill only). then regular and horde enermies= 1 shot kill in green power mission, even yellow you just need 2-3 shot

atm, only whole team of champion enermies + boss is fatal, don't rely on ability or gear to do area attack only you will be just fine for most missions:steamhappy:

Assassin. Have tried melee, have tried ranged, have tried AOE builds.

Have tried several loadouts. The issue is that in the 4th and 5th wave, enemies come from too many directions at once. I can kill 2 paths, the others simply mow down my turrets and then 2-3 shot the priest, even if I get here flawless.

The major issue are the hard hitting melee mobs which sometimes charge straight past a turret and essentially kill the priest before I can respond. If there are 2 or 3 of these spawning where I am not, it's GG.

Have retried this mission upwards of 10 times now.

Use the suit that uses decoys, you can have more than two out to help distract enemies.

I know which enermy you refer to, that is even more annoying than CMS

Easiest way is increase power lv until mission become green or just choose story mode

If not, I tried to use explosive shot of sniper to cut down supression and slay near by horde and regular than you can stun champions, this may buy you time when facing many enermies
But I am not playing assasin after release, so not sure this still work

It's very doable as assassin, even the beta version with 2 bosses was quite easy except if an AoE-DoT landed on the Tech Priest, which was a near-instant death, but it need a little Out-of-the-box approach.

0. Equip a Distorsion Field, it helps a LOT to control damage and mobs advance ; a weapon like a bolt gun or bolt pistols is quite useful here since it is a good Jack of All Trades but autogun or shotgun (a little to short ranged for me) can do the work too (did it with bolt pistols + sniper) ; frag grenades are a good option to bring more instant AoE

1. Stay in the middle when no enemy is spotted to intercept easily

2. Place your first mines right after south entry, it will clean a pack and give you spare time

3. Place your first tarentula to cover both north and east, no to close to the Tech priest but no to far so it will take aggro and gather mobs if they get to close

4. Next Tarentula will cover the first on a flank ; your two Tarentula should dish out a large amount and damage and since they are not to close, AoE won't damage them both

5. Now, if you see a group of mobs incoming : hit them with an AoE and make a train to the OTHER entry to check if you got another, let the Tarentulas help you to clean them : herding mobs to get them far from the Priest is enough first

6. If you have already your hands full, throw a FRAG on a pack to aggro the mobs and get back grinding the whole lot (use the Tarentulas to help you) ; Distorsion field + Tarentulas can cause a slaughter ; once again, herding is the priority, not damage. You should have enough time between them to clear the mobs you have regrouped.

Note : giving a clear shooting range to the Tarentula can be counter-productive because the mobs will shoot from afar and will force you to move a lot, loosing time. Puting them behind selected covers to make them shoot from closer and make the pack stop will be helpful.

To be honest I love this mission and I regret the removed bosses it the two last packs because it needed to be very reactive and needed some tactics to manage the incoming packs.

I wouldn't do that mission at the moment. Even if you manage to finish it, your progress wont be saved :(.

Tried it. The issue is that you can still get RNGed when a melee charges straight past them and kills the priest before you can respond.

1. This is suicide. The heavy melees will just charge past you and splat the priest. Tried this initially, does not work.

2. Will try that.

3. Turret is in a similar position. It dies before the 3rd wave is over.

4. Similar to 3. Even with me wading in, they get slaughtered by the heavy melee, when they dont just charge past them.

5. Yep. Basically how I'm trying it.

6. Assassin needs shield, squishy even on green missions without it.

I can see how a sader could do it with turrets and psykers are just nutty at the moment. Going to just play other parts of the game until this either gets a look or I outlevel it so hard that it becomes doable.

Story mode Data Sanctum is no longer possible unless you over rank the story mission well over 100 power points above. I am 60 above the missions cap in the story and I cant kill fast enough to keep that stupid tech preist alive.

You cant buff him and as far as I can tell my psyker bubble does nothing to stop the warlocks and ranged attack gunners.

I thought they said they ironed out some of the difficulty issues in the patch. It seems like heal per hit is terrible now and I went from a glass cannon to just plain glass over night.

What gives?
IEI_IAA_R Jun 9, 2018 @ 5:52pm
Also currently trying to finish this one. Hard keep the techpriest alive once ranged mobs open up from more than one direction at the same time, long distance...
Valkovski Jun 9, 2018 @ 5:58pm
is it fixed yet? i did yesterday after 384774 tryies and it didn't count. I read it's fixed now but not sure, is it?
I have this same problem. The techie just needs more hp, he dies too fast and it has nothing to do with your power level. You can be way over-leveled and over-geared and he's just dead the second you take your eyes off him.
CockaDoodleDoo Jun 9, 2018 @ 6:22pm
The amount of incompetent players in this game is embarrassing. They cant think, cant choose the appropriate loadout, cant use the weapon skills properly, cant position and maneuver their character tactically or anything. They dont even play into the campaign to rank up properly, ldont try to learn the ropes, they just want to stand toe to toe with any enemy, do nothing else but use the same fire skill and yet expect to be able to focus down anything and fly up the ranks getting ton of gold loot and be swimming in credits and fate for doing absolutly nothing. Pah!.

@PooF So you're saying you can show yourself completing this mission with an asssassin build?
