Intels and Meme Virus

Logged in for the first time in a long time and was rewarded with 2 meme virus (these were taken out of game when I last played). Is there a way to get more of these now?

Also, I looted a few of the intels. Any way to focus on getting these as well?

Same with void shards?

Still trying to figure out best way to level. Done with story line and only 58. MoC is definetely the way to go for relics for me.

Meme viruses are I believe consumables and, whilst there is always a chance of getting a consumable drop, there is a tarot card to enhance the odds; but it could be any of them.
May I suggest you save them for the latter part of the game.

It is the same tarot card that increases the chances of intels to drop, they soon mount up.

Different tarot card to increase the chance of a tarot card, but these drop quite frequently, or at least i find they do for me.

You need the minor tarot card Perseverance (increased intel/consumables) which you get from the Malcorum system level 4 influence reward.
Ive found the easiest way to level system influences is to take the missions from the starmap which are generally lower level/quicker.
Just make sure to use "The Pure" major tarot card for +100% influence

I do that 400 rep run for the card via City of Suffering DLC. It's fun + relics for salvage. Although 40 runs is a bit too much and I'm afraid by the time when I'll finish it and start getting memes I'll be at 90 "softcap"...

I haven't seen a Meme Virus drop since 2.0 so it would be great if someone can savely tell us if they drop or not because I only have 20 left and I don't want to waste them ;).

I´m currently 90 and got there in an ok time by using meme viruses. The "trick" is to run void crusades with the increased consumable tarot card. It seems they drop just about right to use them for the more difficult void crusade missions and get around 25k - 35k xp. (I´m not doing all crusade missions.) You will also get stuff that seems mostly irrelevant like mind reset and the other conumables, but the virus seems worth it.

They do drop but its rare now(without that tarot card), all consumables drops are. With the tarot card its somewhat 1ish per 3-5missions.

Buy them in the shop if they aren't dropping.

As said above getting the Perseverance Tarot card from the Malcorum system level 4 reward is hugely helpful.
Then what I tend to do to get more intel/void/tarot is run the following tarot cards:

The Treasure Trove - Rewards +50% & Increased chance for duplicate items
Perseverance - Rewards +30% & Increased chance for Intel & consumables
Venom - Rewards +30% & Increased chance for tarot cards/Empyrean Seals

If I need Void shards then would swap out a minor card for:

Treachery - Rewards + 30% & Increased chance for void shards

Use the starmap to play low level missions so you can run through a few quickly & get some drops.I prefer to run Assassination missions as there are bigger groups of mobs which seem to have better drop rates than other missions but whatever you enjoy the most is best.

I then stack intel to 20 & sell them for the credits, salvage artificer & relic items and sell the rare/mastercrafted.

This seems to work for me & im enjoying the game so hope it can help others although im sure there are other/better ways out there.

EDIT: Im not responsible for RNG/drop rate in game so if nothing drops dont slap me :D

Just found 2 in an intel mission, although with the corresponding tarot card active :). Nice. Though i noticed, that there are different ones: i now have got 2 normal (grey) meme viruses plus 2 ancient (violett) meme viruses....both give 100%exp for 5 missions though and sell for the same price, so no difference....or so it seems ?? :/

The different types do not stack as they have in the past, originated from different sources, i.e. drops and 'gifts' from NC. Both have the same effect though; enjoy! :)
