Tarot cards leveling

Can someone suggest how to fast farm tarot cards upgrades?

I have two suggestions that may be of help.

1. The obvious, when undertaking any mission that allows you to use tarot cards, use the card that increases the 'chance' of tarot cards dropping.

2. When a tarot drops it initially is entirely random. However, once you have gained the maximum number of drops for its level, no further drops for a card will occur until it has been 'leveled'; you still get the same number of potential drops though. So, I would suggest that once all your cards have been leveled by 10 drops, you think carefully about which cards you want to progress to 50 and beyond (hope my explanation makes sense).

also, using the same card back-to-back in missions seems to give poor results. I try to use Venom card every other mission or every third. Combining it with a relic increase card seems to help get tarot cards at times.

Now that all my cards are level 10 I dont try so hard to farm them. However, I do have all the cards now. I am level 59 assault crusader.

there is no such a thing like lvl 10 tarot, it is only progress 10/10 to level 2. than 50 to 3 etc. max is 5.

Speeds run on void crusade with double rewards tarot and ofc chance for uther tarot cards on sup. mission.
Ofc you need to find right chest in loot room so you can get up to 30 cards per run.

True, but a punctilious observation. After gaining 10 cards you progress to the next level, i.e. from #/10 to #/50 and so on. However, 'to' has been edited to 'by'.

This may sound like a stupid question, but do cards always drop in chests?

I was under the impression that they are given as rewards after having finished a mission. However, However, I have just collected all of them yet (and this was hell of a grind since running with lvl 54 through a lvl 15 map just to gain the required influence made me ignore virtually any drop / chest).

EDIT: could have done the influence stuff with a fresh seasonal character - didn't know about this mechanic.

Tarot cards can drop from anything that is at least a champion type.
You sometimes get them from mission rewards.
Generally speaking, doing quick VCs is still considered the most reliable source.
You usually get a couple cards from the red chest and if you find the dedicated tarot chest you obviously get some more.
When farming for tarot cards always go with chance for duplicate loot major and minor cards and Venom (increased chance for tarot drops).

During week of the hoard, doing intel is also a good source.
I averaged about 9 tarot cards per mission over 40 missions last time I did some tests.

Another thought when farming with murder, since cards drop from at least champion level enemies, might be a good idea to check if a different tarot card can roll the +1 champions per group and pick a mission where you get multiple roaming groups with champions in them (personally, it seems that Hunt missions have most of them). Just to squeeze that extra bit even if you're farming VC for it.

It used to be that Assassionation and Hunt missions would always drop lots of them from the champions, 5 - 10 as opposed to 1-3 (at best) from the other mission types. I think they switched the mission type though since I noticed a very high amount in another mission type and not much anymore in the assassination ones. Sadly I was level still and don't remember like I thought I would. But mission type definitely makes a difference; I'm still trying to find what it switched to, maybe someone else knows.

silence the guns, the map that isn't open but has those "bubble paths" and the assassination in the building has the best drops. also gotta put your loot quality bonus below 100. dropped it from 123 to 98 and clear difference in drop rate for the same maps.

I am still at unlocking the Argatha subsector so that I can play the required priority assigment to get my final card.

Afterwards I will switch focus to VCs.
