The main issue is to unlock both mouse keys - I mean to have an ability to bind left and right attack buttons to keyboard. Now we have to use WSD if we want to have smooth combat or at one point to loose control of your character when you have to release left mouse button (that means to stop moving) to use heavy attack with the right mous button. Its so annoying :)
I understand left mouse button also means "interact with enviroment", but it also could be unbound and bound to E for example. We will be able to point over an object with the mouse cursor and than use E to open the chest.
dude any game design that locks down buttons and makes it harder for us to play, is bad game design. you guys and your dedicated buttons are one of the big negatives right now.
Use X-Mouse. It lets you set any key to act as any other key. So you could have buttons on your keyboard function as LMB/RMB. It's easy to set up once you learn how it works. And you can save profiles for each game you play, and it will automatically switch to it when you fire up that game.
I agree with this. There is no good reason to not allow a player to set up his keys however he wants them.
