Each stat only influences 2 things in the world of For The King:

a) Challenge rolls that require a check for a result (like wishing well, sword in the stone, strange village etc, random events / locations that can reward or punish you based on a roll) which include Intellect, Stamina, Strength, Talent, Awareness and Luck

b) In combat check for skills, which include Int, Str, Stam, Awareness and Talent

Speed is how fast your characters will act in combat (ie: when their turn will come on the position bar). Luck is a hidden stat (you can't see how much luck you have outside of character selection info panel, but normally bards and minstrells will have the highest luck stat via their gear). Str is used for melee attacks and skill checks in the world. Awareness is used for most ranged attacks (bows, tho there are some bows that require STR), for skill checks, ambush, and very few melee weapons. Talent is the main stat for all type of lutes, it's also used for most traps checks, and for sneaking. Intellect is used for all magic staves and tomes, as well as some skill checks and on world map encounters (and in the labyrinth x-road). Stamina is used on very few weapons, for taunt checks if you have a shield with taunt, on world map encounters (drinking contest for example) and I believe it influences how much HP you get on level up. Luck is not documented so no idea if it affects how lucky you are in combat, otherwise is only used on world map for carnival rolls, wishing well and possible couple more events.

Most welcome, again this is all what I gathered from my playthroughs observations and testing, so it's not official. Some stats might affect other things but until we get a dev's response we can't know for sure.

Also - IMHO - no point to push combat stats higher than 80's, better to mix-match gear to get more armor / resist or other useful perks (like party curse / fear / poison immunity etc), 80's is more than plenty to perfect your skills most of the time, and when you really need something to hit you just expend 1-2 focus - that's why it's there after all.

aye! will do thanks again for the tip!

Couple questions from today.
1)What does Find Distance do? I know it's on torches and such.
2)What does Rubato Lute skill do? Says Reset.
3)Does Reflect work against Magic or Physical only attacks?

1) Find Distance affects how far from a hidden event / location / dungeon etc on map you have to be to see it. Normal is like 2 tiles away, this puts it at 3 I believe
2) Reset = enemy turn is completely reset, aka everyone gets to go again before he does - much better than slow
3) Both

I can also add that rolling for movement uses speed, rolling for movement on a boat uses talent.

Also, tooltips. Improved tooltips are on our list. It's all good knowing you're frozen, but the tooltips should tell you WHAT debuff Frozen imparts. For now you can check out the encyclopedia for that info, but we fully realize it should be in the tooltip.

cools, the improved tooltips would really great. thanks again!
