Or included in the overall GI setting, I haven't played with customizing my factory too much, so not really sure yet, have you checked if the high setting also only uses screenspace?
Edit: Billboards still work as a light source and you don't need lumen reflections for it.

r.Lumen.TraceMeshSDFs=1
r.Lumen.TraceMeshSDFs.TraceDistance=2048
r.Lumen.ScreenProbeGather.TracingOctahedronResolution=32
r.Lumen.Reflections.Allow=1
r.Lumen.Reflections.SmoothBias=1
First three are needed to use small signs as light sources, fourth enables Lumen reflections (duh) and fifth makes them crisp instead of blurry, but that's just my personal preference.
I wonder how big of a performance hit that could cause on different factory size levels...
I do play Satisfactory on GFN from time to time, not only on my PC, so I wonder if these would also work as console commands or do we need to edit engine.ini explicitly?
Yeah, even RTX 4080 with DLSS might chug sometimes actually. On top of that, it looks really... off. The resolution of the reflections are sometimes really dissatisfying. But that's what we get for turning up features that weren't finished or planned lol
The chrome and caterite paints do look dope tho lol

r.AOGlobalDistanceField.MinMeshSDFRadius=14
Either option (lumen or GI) only effects the 3+4m label signs though, the others are still screen space only..
Nope, Lumen is just that bad for performance. Look up "Threat Interactive" on YouTube and you'll find videos from them talking about how Lumen is a joke compared to other Global Illumination methods. Unreal 5 in general has just been awful from a technical perspective and Lumen is probably the biggest example of that, which is sad because it really does look nice if you tweak it enough and don't go anywhere near the Northern Forest.
