unreal engine crash when saving a blueprint
seems like a known issue but either has no resolve or haven't found it.

if i save a blueprint the game crashes and give me an UE message box. if i try to reload any save file it does the same, redownloading the game does the same. going into the files and deleting the blueprint makes it works again but setting up another blue print does the same. loading up another world via another save works.

i do not play with any mods nor have some installed.

tried verifying files, redownloading the game, restarting my PC, updating my gpu drivers.

I got the same problem , also when tryin to load the one that i managed to save, i get the message ''The file for this blueprint is missing''

I want to add that after i got the blueprint crash my game no longer loads at all and just crashes.

the game entirely, or just the world you're playing on ? because for me it's just the world. you can comeback to the game by going into

C:\Users\[you]\AppData\Local\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\blueprints

in there you have to delete the 2 files from your blueprint, the SBP and SBPCFG files, after that you can access the world again, but you'll have to play without blueprints.

its a real shame cause i was really excited about 1.0 but litteraly cannot play it because i don't want to play without blueprints.

TEMPORARY FIX

the game engine as trouble with name containing spaces or special caracter regarding blueprints, you have to have a world and save with only 1 string of words.

exemple : if you world was named "my first world." and the save named "main save" you'll have to rename them "myfirstworld" and "mainsave".

you can rename an active world and save by loading up your save, open the console[satisfactory.fandom.com] and typing
SaveWithNewSessionName [yourSaveName] [YourWorldName]

if you are unable to open the game or loading your save, go to
C:\Users\[you]\AppData\Local\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\blueprints

and delete the SBP and SBPCFG files created in your world.
