Game crashing on start

Satisfactory suddenly started crashing. it was working until recently even after 1.0.
I have tried many things including:

- -DX11
- -DX12
- Reinstalling
- driver updates
- experimental and normal

Any ideas?

can you post first 50 lines of crash log report?

there was no crash log report

there should be logs anyway at this location

C:\Users\___yourUSERNAME___\AppData\Local\FactoryGame\Saved\Logs

just get latest on notepad++ or notepad and copy paste here about first 50 lines as usually crash reason is at beginning

Gets stuck on FactoryGame

now when i try to run it says

Failed to open descriptor file C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Satisfactory/FactoryGame/FactoryGame.uproject

mine stopped working and drove me nuts, ended up i had to delete C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA\NGX which is some dumb ai thing from nvidia. it re-caches.

I cant find that anywhere on my computer

Type this into explorer:
%localappdata%\FactoryGame\Saved\Logs\FactoryGame.log

The reason you can't find the folder is that it's in a hidden folder structure. Most gamers have already set explorer to show hidden folders because we have to constantly edit game files and saves and logs.

Open windows explorer
View tab
Click options -> Change folder and search options
View tab again on popup window
option that says Show hidden files, folders, and drives, make sure it's selected.
