someone commented already on the proton git.
I guess there needs to be an update for proton.
As soon as I put everything to high, cap @ 60 and draw distance to far it instantly crashed when I pressed saved.
Normally, everything is on ultra.

Windows 10 LTSC 2019
EDIT: I finally got it to work by upping them one by one (while in-game) up to High and then Ultra again without any crashes. Strangely enough, now I can even start the game with everything on, except Shadows. As soon as I took Shadows from medium to high the gameworld instantly got this weird massive white flare. Other than that the game seems stable on Ultra, even after 3 restarts into a save or a new session. For how long... time will tell.
The game still shows a crash note when I close the game, though.
And, I have to say it one more time; the game is beautiful.
Highly unlikely, never had any issues with LTSC before, and latest updates are not always for the better.
Others have gotten something similar too in Satisfactory when trying out Vulkan. In any case, as long as I don't have any problems with other games and as long as this game is in EA/EXP, that doesn't matter the slightest. In fact, I have gotten problems with other versions. I know very well what LTSC is (work as consultant), but it works really well even as a home and/or gaming rig as it is less bloated, but I digress as usual...
Besides, after continuing to experiment with the settings, shadows works well now on Ultra as well, but due to mods I'm going back to EA for the time being.
the bottom line is, LTSC is not meant for gaming
First of all, it's through my job, so that's out of the way. It's quite normal for IT companies to retain copies of every version, and like it or not, even these companies have and even use slipstream/modified versions of Windows, at least internally among those who works there, so there's a grey area there, I'll give you that.
Many I know, including my own gf even uses the same version for both on her job computer and on her gaming computer, which I've both setup specifically. Haven't had a problems there either (in fact, there are countless more problems with Office 2019/365 regardless of what OS version one uses...).
(I'm definitely not promoting anything here, I'm just saying it as I've experienced through the years and based on what I know.)
Second, please tell me exactly which features I'm supposed to be "missing" since I've no problems with any games or anything else, and I've literally tried every versions that came after Win 3.11. Again, any modified version of Windows, or even enterprise versions works just fine and even better and more stable that a normal home/pro version, so that must be another Microsoft/internet myth or something.
I'm honestly curious because I'm quite picky of what I allow on my computers (even those I administrate), and yes, perhaps there is a feature that I've forgotten about and need it.
But, if it's like a fancy bar or a theme, xbox connection, media features one doesn't need (not to be confused with the N version) or like a spoiler on a car, then I'm definitely not interested. :)
taken from a technet post -
"We might have some misunderstanding about Windows 10 LTSC 2019.
It is a specialized system version of Windows 10, not simply a tripped down version, but is designed to be used only for specialized devices (which typically don't run Office) such as those that control medical equipment, point-of-sale systems or ATM machines. So for the target environment, which is not necessary to use Microsoft Edge or other modern apps on it.
It’s more important that these devices be kept as stable and secure as possible than multiple function.
Windows 10 LTSC 2019 is also different with Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB which is a separate LTSC version.
Modern apps are not available to install or sideload on Windows 10 LTSC 2019 and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB."
one last thought. I sincerly hope that you are not trying to run games on a computer given to you by your employer.....
All true, but none of them are important/essential. It's basically a lot of fluff, and one can integrate what ever one really needs or use alternatives.
It's custom built by myself. Besides, our teamleaders also likes to play once in a while too. ;)
But, this is getting off-topic from your original topic so I'm stopping it here.
I went into the nvidia control panel and instructed the software to use the 'integrated graphics' (the video thats on the CPU). I know it has Vulkan support, so I tried running Satisfactory using the Vulkan render-er. the game still booted up, but at a much lower fps (naturally). the game also showed full screen in a window like it did with the 'High Performance Nvidia Processor". so i believe this is a bug with Satisfactory, not a driver or any other kind of issue.
