A D3D11-compatible GPU (Feature Level 11.0, Shader Model 5.0) is required to run the engine
But I have a D3D11-compatible GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 and the latest driver for Windows 7 (May 12, 2022). New install, first time trying to run build 188609 from Epic Games Launcher on Windows 7 Ultimate (not upgrading so don't bother making a point about it). Last build ran was 119805 (~April 2019). How to force the game to use Direct3D 11 on Windows 7? "-d3dll" and/or "-dx11") on shortcut target field isn't working.

So sick of devs leaving Windows 7 gamers out to dry just because Microslop wants to make money on forcing users to upgrade their shi++y OS.

1650 supports 6.6 so it could be wrong driver or you're using a laptop (change which GPU to use in Windows and create a new shortcut). In very rare cases it's faulty/corrupted Windows update or installation.

EDIT: Ditch Epic fails launcher and create a new shortcut yourself directly linking to Satisfactory's exe file with something this;
\steam\steamapps\common\Satisfactory\FactoryGame.exe -d3d11 (or -dx11)

other than you need a special "optional" Win7 update to make Dx11 work correctly, starting parameter are set on each laucher differently

Win10 is free, for win7/8 owners, so you argument is false.

On desktop with correct driver and already tried shortcut per below. Could be bad update/installation but not reinstalling Windows and who knows which update could be bad, if any...

Already tried this but same error.

Already tried that.

How? When I went to MS' website it doesn't say free for to me.

Last time I did the upgrade was a clean install, but I just fed it my Windows 7 key either during or after the installation, and it activated just fine. But for the in place upgrade you should be able to just download the media creation tool from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and do the upgrade directly. Or the update assistant.
