Epic/Steam Cross platform not working

My friend has Satisfactory on Epic and I have it on Steam.

Whenever one of us hosts and the other joins the game, the game gets stuck on "Connecting", then after 1 minute or so, a message pops up saying "Network Error".

Anyone know how to fix this?

We have checked that our computer times are sync'ing automatically and network settings are set to Ultra, based on another reddit thread.

I've had this issue today, but it worked just fine some 16 hours ago. I'm wagering an issue on the part of epic, because I can still connect with steam friends

It's not working either, steam connection works, but anyone (epic or steam) cant join while im on epic matchmaking
