Mod launcher disable?

So ive got the new patch now, and as expected, it errors cause, stuff isn't modded yet for it, i get it.
but
it won't let me turn the mods off, there is an error message that "covers" the switch, and won't give up focus...

anyone know how to turn off mods around this?

Do you run the game from SMM or from Steam? What I did before the launch was I created a SMM profile with no mods and (obviously) the mod switch turned off. I started Update 8 from the SMM, because I couldn't start a vanilla game from update 8 through Steam. After the launch I could start 1.0 through Steam without any problems. Haven't tried SMM yet, but then again, why should I as mods are not updated yet...

i can't launch it from either
the smm, errors as described above
and the steam launch tells me there are missing folders, and won't start..
folders related to the smm mods i have on from previous game, ill wager

Same here....want to turn off, but an overlay says:

Error
2 Satisfactory installs were found, but all of them point to folders that don't exist.

Seems wrong? Generate debug info and send it together with this error message
over on the modding discord in #help-using-mods

Ignore it. Go into your game directory and look for the Mods folder. Delete it. That should fix it. Otherwise, uninstall the game, then delete that folder, and re-install the game. If it still doesn't work, uninstall mod manager as well.

You're not able to create another profile in SMM? Or is everything blocked?

Just delete the files in your install path/FactoryGame/Mods directory and it should start up just fine.

The worst solution would be uninstalling the SMM. And then maybe a new install of Satisfactory and start it from Steam. Once this is up and running, you could try reinstall SMM. I made a modlist of every profile I had in SMM before I removed them all, but only because I had some trouble in the past. Not because I'm that smart... ;)

The only thing that worked for me was to uninstall, download the latest beta from github, and install that. Nothing else would let me get past that error message window. Deleting the folder in the message did nothing.

I have re-installed 3 times, after deleting mod installer - ssm
verified files..

i get this...

Uninstalling the Mod manager does not remove the mods. They are still in the folder and the game is still attempting to load them.

Prior saves that used mods will more than likely be incompatible.
You can either wait until the mods are updated, or start a fresh game.

I don't have a mods folder there.
