SMM Stuck on Error
Does anyone who use the Satisfactory Mod Manager, have an error saying

"Error
1 Satisfactory install was found, but it points to a folder that doesn't exist.
"E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Satisfactory"

I cant seem to get rid of this error to disable the mods. I tried launching the game to see if they were automatically disabled but weren't and now keep crashing the game when I launch it. Any thoughts/fixes?

I had to uninstall smm by using windows app/prog uninstall which runs smm uninstall app. I uninstalled game in steam. found game folder on hdd and deleted that aswell. Rebooted pc then did fresh download and install, base game now works, have NOT reinstalled mod manager yet but game now works for me, hope this helps

I uninstalled SMM yesterday before today's update. And made sure all the folders that SMM installed were removed. Then started the game to make sure mods did not show up in the start menu. As for reinstalling the game, I don't see why that would be needed.

One thing I learned from the many years playing the game, is that whenever there is a major update, I need to delete the Satisfactory Config files. The developers are always changing them, and not removing old (invalid) settings. For me, when starting after the update, only the Engine.ini and GameUserSettings.ini files were initially replaced (after I removed them).
Ini files are here: AppData\Local\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\Windows

And before doing all of this, remember to back the files to a safe place first.

Edit: Note that I only need to restore the 'mPlayerMappedKeys=' settings in the GameUserSettings.ini file to get my key bindings back to normal.

Same problem, I uninstalled the game first and the the SMM. Reinstalled the game and SMM and still have the issue. The folder 'mods' not longer exist but the issue still. I dont know if the order influence or not

i got the same thing but slightly different:
2 Satisfactory installs were found, but all of them point to folders that don't exist.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Satisfactory"
"c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Satisfactory"

In my case i reinstalled the game after not playing for about a year-ish then downloaded the mod manager and opened that up it detected the installation folder just fine but says it doesn't exist looked around on each drive for mod folders and found nothing so guessing SMM REALLY does not like it when the game is installed on a drive that isn't C

Got exactly the same error message.

Well, has anyone solved this problem, please tell me?

Mods will not work for 1.0 till the mod creators update them for the new version of the game, this is pretty normal for all games with mods.

-e

you will need to run a clean version of the client until the mods get updated

Hey Guys, so in the Modded Satisfactory Discord, it is stated:

which basically means that the Mod Loader its self is also down, so not even that will work as they are trying to fix the mod loader.

Every mod (100%, all) will need to be recompiled under the new engine setup (UE 5.3) and new game headers. All mods must wait for SML to be updated first. After that, it's up to the mod developer. Some mods may take hours or days, others weeks, others will sadly never be updated. Please keep in mind that all of this formidable work is done by volunteers in their free time, and be patient.

I've uninstalled the mod manager and the game doesn't work. I've uninstalled the game and redownloaded it and it still doesn't work. What else could I possibly do here? I'm fine removing every single mod, and in fact I regret modding the game at all now and I'll never touch them again since it obviously breaks the game and makes it unplayable. I really can't imagine what else I could possibly to do flush all of these brick-mods out of my system.

Is there some other nonsense folder they're all saved in or something? Is it secretly on my C: drive or some nonsense?
