Dedicated Server
Not sure if the update came out for the server yet but mine updated 'something'

However, I'm seeing an error that shows 'Failed to connect to Server API' when trying to connect to the server?

Same! Both seem to be updated fine, but I can't then connect to the server within the Server Manager. Previously working fine with the exact same server setup with U8.

Apparently ports have been changed for the 1.0 release. Also it seems a HTTP api port is opened, but what port it ends up on is seemingly random, making this very hard to properly port forward behind a NAT....

Same here. Logs seem to suggest the server is on 1.0 but I get Failed to connect to Server API also.

Yeah Ive had it working also, all the same ports (15000,7777, and 15777) are still open on my end and should be connectable, as they were in U8. Not sure what could be going wrong, I also fully deleted and reinstalled all server related files but no dice

Mine shows the server online but gives the error about the API.

That doesn't apply to me, there is no firewall between me and my server. It's on my network. All ports are open technically. Server logs even show it accepting the connection from my game client. Still doesn't work. I'll keep waiting and try later.

I've been to the patch note, after scratching my head for almost an hour trying to figure out why it was not working anymore, Dedicated servers are now only using port 77777 TCP and UDP instead of the previous ones. (I know the answer is written above, but... x)

Same for me. UFW disabled on local network so listening fine on port 7777, but no luck connecting. I can see the connection coming in to the server logs but no dice.

I've got my ports forwarded for TCP and UDP on 7777 (and all the others) yet I'm still gettin' the "Failed to connect to Server API" message. :T

Same issue here, server log does show this message "LogNet: NotifyAcceptingConnection accepted from: <MY_IP>" but the connection just won't establish.

It is showing that I've got the newest version of the DS running in the logs. Unlike what Xorizor said, I am not even getting the Notify Accepting Connection message though...it was workin' yesterday. :T

steps i have done ;

delete the server and redoanload it via Steamcmd
forced to update
and open the missing port TCP 7777 (i had only UDP open for the old Setup)

im a Server admin and never have more ports open on my firewall then i need for security reasons but now the server work correctly and that was all i have done after i had the same issue
