Random temporary/permanent lag spikes
I have a quite performant machine that has been able to run flawlessly with Satisfactory.
(GTX 1650, Ryzen 5-4000series, 36GB RAM, 4GB VRAM).

On every session, whether modded or not I encounter "lag spikes". These can be temporary or permanent. The temporary ones can be fixed by switching my preset from Ultra to High and back, which solves them and I can play flawlessly again (not permanently, it's a question of 10s of minutes!) and the permanent ones can't be fixed by any other methods than restarting the game itself.
Sometimes the game runs perfect for multiple hours and sometimes I encounter this bug upon loading a save file (or in the menu). The drops range from 10 to 5 frames per second REGARDLESS of my component utilisation (including CPU, RAM, GPU + VRAM). They started in update 7 (as far as I remember... it definitely wasn't update 6! UE5 could be problematic here) and continue to now.
Any help will be appreciated!

Cheers and yours truly,
minusUnity8

I have checked and verified my files and tried the lowest possible Video settings combination without any success.
I am running my game on an SSD inside my laptop.
I do NOT have any thermal issues.
My RAM is the correct frequency and has nothing to do with these drops.

Only 4 GB VRAM is the problem.

GTX 1650 with 4GB of VRAM is not "performant" any more. It was a great GPU in its day but that has long passed. It's the minimum required GPU to run the game now. So you're at the lowest specs, therefore you should expect accordingly as Ultra settings, and possibly High, are out of its reach. It basically runs out of VRAM at these settings. So either lower the settings below High or lower the resolution if you want to keep the effects high.

Aww man that sucks :(
Thank you though ;)

Lowering the game resolution can greatly reduce VRAM usage and sometimes may end up looking better than lowering the graphics settings. So try that maybe?

I've tried that stuff on like- 50% and still nothing (didn't change the visuals at all tho :D)

If you didn't see any change in visuals then something didn't work. Are you sure? Because lowering resolution on an LCD display from native resolution results in a more blurry image. You should have noticed a difference when lowering the resolution.

What resolution is your screen?
What resolution is set in Windows Display Settings?
What resolution is set in the game?

And yeah, if you're already running at 1080p, then lowering the resolution may not help much.

Also lower in-game texture quality, that is usually the main thing that eats up your VRAM.
