Satisfactory multiplayer will not work at all

Me and my two friends have been trying to play satisfactory multiplayer. Two of us including me are on steamdeck. We have tried using session id but it just says the the id isn’t valid or is wrong even when we copy and paste it. I’ve heard some stuff about using your ip address to start a server but that won’t really work either. My friends and I are all on steam. I don’t understand why this is so complicated.

Because it's work in progress, not a finished game, not even beta, so it has bugs.

Multiplayer should be greatly improved in 1.0 according to some latest devs videos.
