DLSS message on bottom-left corner

After installation of Update 8 yesterday, I now get 4 lines of text about the DLSS configuration on the bottom-left corner of the screen. It's there both on the menu and the game itself. It disappears if I change the Upsampling Method to TSR or None.

Does it happen to anybody else? Is there a way to remove it without disabling DLSS?

Edit: I don't know why, but if I click the link I get an error message. If I, instead, copy and paste the link in a browser, it works. You might have to do the same.

OK, I got it. Definitely didn't see this ever before. The DLSS dll is an older 3.1 version but that's OK, most games still use that but the mention of UE4 is weird.

To be honest, I'm not sure what is happening here, but the mention of UE4 makes me think some game files did not get properly patched maybe?

Try verifying the game files in Steam as the first step.

To add a screenshot, in steam:
- Press F12
- In Steam app, go to view (in menu) and then screenshots
- upload the screenshot
- Press the button 'View online'
- When you see your screenshot online, press the 'share'
- Copy the URL in the pop-up
- Paste the URL in the comment at the post

you have to find the dlss registry fix or an ini edit cant remember but you had to do it to enable that message to pop up I've done it for a few games but that was a while ago and no the update didn't cause this basically its a debug feature

Yup, the various NVIDIA DLLs can be downloaded from TechPowerUp but since you mentioned a Registry fix so I wonder if a clean GPU driver reinstall would fix this instead of messing manually with the Registry. Though, I'd still verify Steam files first.

Thank you all for your support! Here is an update for you guys... I had to edit the registry to remove the DLSS overlay. Verifying Steam files' integrity and updating Nvidia's driver didn't solve it.

I think this was changed with the installation of Update 8 and it started to show also in Flight Simulator 2020. I found an easy instruction on MSFS 2020's forum on how to remove it. Simply set the entry below to "0":

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore\ShowDlssIndicator

Strange that it didn't happen to anybody else. Anyway, it's gone now.

Yup, I've spent a LOT of time playing games with DLSS in the last year and a half and haven't seen this. Saved this to my notes for future reference. Glad you got it fixed.

Oh, woa... it's even more weird: there is no ShowDlssIndicator key under Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore in my registry!
