Tractors stop moving
I can't figure this out, sometimes a tractor delivering sulfur from a trainstation to my turbofuel rig stops at a pause node in the track and just stops forever. The pause is only 30 seconds and when watching a few runs around the track it seems to go just fine, but when I leave after a couple hours my turbofuel rig shuts off and when I go back it's the same tractor being idle again.

What could cause this?

It's a bug. If you load a saved game, every vehicle that is waiting at the blue waiting nod will not start until you get on the vehicle and thus activate it. Then it works until you save and load again.

Try saving the path, delete the tractor, then place a new tractor and load that path into it. Tractors are stupid somtimes.

Sigh, it keeps happening. Any tractor sitting on a pause node might suddenly decide that it goes on permanent strike. I feel very annoyed about this, since I had the brilliant idea of feeding my power generation with vehicles.

FWIW, I'm being bedeviled by this same problem - finding it across several routes. It often goes away "for a while" if you get into the tractor and then get back out, but you have to have figured out the tractor stuck-itude first.

BTW, another symptom/cause of this - whenever this happens, on my map, said tractor is always shown as way off in the middle of nowhere, even though in fact it's just stuck on the route.

Does this happen with trucks as well, or just tractors?

Some people tested for me and we found only blue stop nodes make this bug. Yellow stop nodes (loading or unloading stops) working normally.

I think I basically have to scrap a 200 hour city because of this bug. Brilliant idea of building a complex road network, every product with its own building, every building with a truck depot on the bottom floor, every product delivered via truck. Was going to be a wonderful dance of realistic looking traffic, but after getting about half the vehicles running... but all I do is run between stalled trucks, and its impossible to run new routs with stalled trucks everywhere. Very disheartening...

You just have to remove any non-station pause nodes. Then it works again, although you'll miss out on properly timed routes.

+1 to this. You can also repair things by getting into a stuck vehicle and exiting it. Bummer, but better then scrapping your city.

If you want to stop your vehicles anywhere but road, you can place station and make empty loading there.
