Ceiling Lights not Working

For some reason, when I try to power the ceiling light with the lights control panel, they don’t light up. My process is below.

Place light and control panel > connect control panel to light

I genuinely don’t know what’s happening, even the standby button doesn’t work. If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be highly appreciated and a huge help.

you need power to the control panel/light
without connecting to your power grid nothing will work.
