Can't turn 360 degrees.

Hi. I just bought the game last night and I seem to be able to only look left or right for 180 degrees before the camera stops turning so to turn a little bit more to the right I have to look left and go all the way back around. I just wanted to check is this how it's supposed to be or is there an option I'm missing which would let me look left or right and turn the camera until I'm back to where it was when I starting turning?

Are you using a mouse, or a controller?

The way it should work is just like you see in any 1st person fps game....you just keep turning until you run out of mousepad or desktop. then you just pick up the mouse move it back and continue turning more.

there should be no ingame boundary to being able to turn
you could also try and see if you can turn using the left and right arrow keys as that also lets you turn your view left and right but has no ability to adjust looking up and down like you can with your mouse

I use an old iPhone connected through a VNC server as my mouse so that's probably the reason although I've never had any issues with any other game.

I tested more carefully and took a note of the compass at the top of the screen and if I was facing north I'd be able to turn in either direction a little over 360 degrees and then it stops me turning any more, so then I have to go back the other way.

It's no big deal I suppose, it's just makes fighting those dog things impossible so I hope killing them for their parts isn't essential for anything. Next time I get stuck I'll try the arrow key and maybe that'll set the new sticking point to 360 degrees either side of where I'm facing at the time. Thanks for the replies! :)

Have you considered not doing this and simply using a mouse?

Nope. The thought of having to move my whole hand instead of just one finger feels like too much effort ;)

I don't think I even have a mouse anymore, it's been years since I used one!

You know, you could get a proper touch pad. Or a trackball. Either one would offer far better compatibility, and still let you drive mouse input with a single finger. Well, a trackball has separate buttons for clicking, but you still only really need to move one finger.

I have the same problem with 360 degree rotation (with mouse), but have already played 100+ hours of Satisfactory without this problem. And now for about 3 months I haven't played the game anymore because I still haven't found the cause why I can only turn about 180 degrees. Only when I press TAB, move my mouse to the other side of my screen and press TAB again can I turn my view further in 360 degrees. So my character can only walk within 180 degrees and by pressing TAB extremely often I can turn my character further to the left or right. This makes building or defeating animals extremely difficult. Was invited today to play with friends and this problem still persists.

What I have tried in the meantime:
- Rotate field of view using the navigation keys <^>
- Adjusted settings on computer itself
SteamLibrary-steamapps-common-Satisfactory- right mouse button on FactoryGame-Properties-Compatibility-Change settings for all users;
>Disable optimizations for full screen (tried with both on and off)
>Run this program as Administrator (When I turned it on I could not play along in the game with friends, so I turned it off again)
- Switch all box settings on and off one by one in Satisfactory itself and try them out one by one.

Can it be because my computer is still running Windows 10 instead of 11 r is it due to something else?
Windows 11 cann't be installed on my computer due to the older components in my computer.

I am still playing the game with an MX518 Logitech Mouse in Windows 10 with no issues.

Without knowing what mouse you are using, it would be difficult if not impossible for someone else to troubleshoot this issue. Try checking your mouse drivers and see if they need to be updated.
