I've turned down the graphics settings and that seems to have eased it up a bit. hope that helps :)

Not thought of that, if it is that, I will switch off autosave, but I have ADHD and I forget to save..... hahahaha
aaah okay. Maybe i'll try that first and if that doesn't work i try the graphic setting :) Thanks!

if you have enough frames (i usually cap the framerate at 80) add this
( the current entries I use with an i7 7700 and GTX1080TI )
r.ViewDistanceScale=4
r.ViewDistanceQuality=4
r.DFShadowCullTileWorldSize=400
foliage.LODDistanceScale=5
After that game startup and save game load will take a while, be patient.
Unfortunately these settings just crash the game entirely.
