Mouse lag issues

Anyone having issues with mouse lag? It seems at random my mouse will get laggy af, I'll be frantically moving my mouse and the character won't turn. Otherwise, pure belter of a game!

YES! I got the same problem after a while ingame and i have absolutely no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue why..

I've turned down the graphics settings and that seems to have eased it up a bit. hope that helps :)

The game lags when auto-saving. Depending on the size of your factories. This cannot be avoided unless you switch off the automatic saving.

Not thought of that, if it is that, I will switch off autosave, but I have ADHD and I forget to save..... hahahaha

sadly enable auto save doesn't work... also graphik setting are helping just a little so.. problem is still there :/

Another lag source is the shader compiling and texture streaming. If you have enough RAM (>=12) / VRAM (>8) you can force the game to precompile all shaders and preload all textures.

There is a big guide in the hub about optimizations. For a quick take you can put the following lines in your engine.ini file located here: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

[SystemSettings]
r.CreateShadersOnLoad=1
r.TextureStreaming=0

if you have enough frames (i usually cap the framerate at 80) add this
( the current entries I use with an i7 7700 and GTX1080TI )

r.ViewDistanceScale=4
r.ViewDistanceQuality=4
r.DFShadowCullTileWorldSize=400
foliage.LODDistanceScale=5

After that game startup and save game load will take a while, be patient.

Unfortunately these settings just crash the game entirely.

I used these in modified versions on all of my rigs without any problems even on a laptop. Maybe the problem is on your side.
