UNet connection timed out?

I was excited to finally get my hands on Satisfactory, but when I tried to do multiplayer with a good friend of mine, all that's happened is that whichever one of us joining would be stuck trying to connect to the server, only for the game to say that UNet connection had timed out. I had tried everything, from uninstalling/reinstalling, to checking file integrity, to disabling Send Gameplay Data, to boosting network quality all the way up, and I would still get this issue. My friend hasn't gotten this issue before, so I assume it's something to do with my game.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this, or would I have to wait for a patch from the devs that will resolve the problem?
