Won't allow the placement of the MK1 miner

I tried on 3 different nodes to place the automated mk1 miner which required a portable miner as one of the elements to make it. It keeps saying invalid placement. Not sure where I am going wrong with this. I went through the couple play through guides and it looks like a no brainer but yeah. I removed all conveyors and power lines and bug nest on the one and still no luck. I tired on iron and then copper and then I tried even on lime. Any ideas or help on this would be great thanks.

There is a pure ore rock in the centre of the node...remove it by hand first and then place your miner

Resource nodes start off with a large chuck in the middle that you need to manual mine till it breaks, then your allowed to place a miner on it.

Just found a limestone deposit where there is no ore rock but still I cannot place the miner

There might be a pure chunk nearby that is intersecting with the bounding box of the miner. There's at least one node on the map like that.

@xterryloarkhx. I was sure I was finding that problem too, but now I found out that there van be more than one pure node, and sometimes it just looks like more of the same limestore. I kept walking around and removed more pure nodes, and then it let me place, so I bet it's the same for you.
