[SOLVED] Help. My game makes my screen Artefact and my computer black screen.
Update: I Figured out my issues with Satisfactory. I will keep this threat up so people can use it to fix any Artefacting issues they have. My issue was that I did not meet the minimum system requirements

I recently got Satisfactory from a friend and I was hooked on the game. After a while of playing my screen started having Bad Artefacting and black screening issues

It first was just when I alt tabbed it was small but brief. but after a while my computer started seeing massive artefacts across the screen and then it started black-screening. This happens after a certain amount of time of playing and it usually happens in the middle of a session.

I have the game running at maximum graphical settings although at the start of the game my game ran smoothly and still does despite the artefacting but initially it hasn't. I have even changed graphic settings and it still artefacted. I know that Satisfactory is GPU hungry and task manager confirms this. There are no preformance issues and other GPU intensive games I run don't have this issue.

If anyone can help me fix this will be a god sent.

Thanks

EDIT: I changed my API too DX11 and the problem is less troublesome but it still occurs. I updated my graphics drivers too the max and my core temps are good. Usually what happens is a big Artefact happens and my game crashes. DX11 and drivers update helped but hasn't completely solved the issue. Any help would be great

When you say "changed graphic settings" did you try a different API, like DX11 instead of DX12? I had the light flashes others have reported wiith DX12, so changed back to DX11.

Is your graphics driver up to date? Try reinstalling it.

It could also be on overheating issue. Have you check the temps?

I am not in front of my pc, and I can't recall if there is a max fps setting...if not, I do know there is a console command that sets it...just ask google

My graphics drivers up too date. I will try changing my API, I know I tried fiddling with it when changing my settings but I remember fiddling because of the Artefacting. But idk I will try. thank you regardless.

Artifacts can be a sign of a problem with the hardware, mostly the GPU, either it gets too hot and/or it's about to die. Heat and OC is a sure way of killing electronic components faster. Though, it never hurts to check the integrity of the game files...

Can also be because your hardware is insufficient or just too old: https://spearblade.com/general-gaming/gpu-artifacting/

Just FYI; Up-to-date driver is NOT always the best as they can introduce new bugs. I never update my drivers unless they specially fix a persistent problem, usually on very new hardware. On my computers I still use ages old drivers. There's an old saying; if it ain't broken don't fix it.
