It's an experimental build. First assumption should always be "it's a bug" until we hear differently. If you aren't OK with bugs and rough patches and weird stuff happening, you shouldn't be running an experimental build. That's why it's opt-in.
while this is true and is reasonable for the most part, you are giving too much credit to the devs for hyping this update up so much only to not be able to play it online at launch of the update 5
what bull this post is. I guess you have a mental age of 11?
Data collection is a hot topic throughout tech so don't go and misunderstand why that is with some stupid comments.
Emotional attachment and monopoly lol found the epic employee. See when you come up with stupid stuff it makes you look so foolish.
But fingers crossed for an quick hotfix. Until then I play Solo/offline and learn the new things.
This has nothing to do with contracts etc, it's just a simple matter of wanting the multiplayer experience to be as good as possible, which includes crossplay.
It also honestly boggles my mind how salty people get about bugs in an EXPERIMENTAL version of an EARLY ACCESS game.
