Avast has a long trackrecord of spying on the computer they are on and selling the data, and are causing multiple troubles for it's users by their rather aggressive search, that includes games and other programs, and denying these access to certain folders/files.

Unless your life depends on it - change it immediately. Windows Defender is more than enough for live protection, otherwise ClamWin/ClamAV and Stinger are also good options for manual scanning.
