Solution to those who experience persistent game crashes!

If your game keeps crashing and you get an error:

Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address

or Event Viewer error (when the game crashes you don't get a crash report pop up):

Faulting application name: UE4-Win64-Shipping.exe, version: 4.25.3.0, time stamp: 0x6074720e
Faulting module name: UE4-Engine-Win64-Shipping.dll, version: 4.25.3.0, time stamp: 0x6074722c

Then there is a possible fix for you.

I discovered that "Nahimic service" was the cause of the persistent game crashes. If you have ASUS or MSI motherboard, then it is most likely that you have that installed, as it comes with audio drivers.

Check the Task Manager->Processes if you got NahimicService.exe in there. If you do, then this program is most likely the culprit. Apparently, it is known issue for a while now, that "Nahimic Service" has a lot of problems and interrupts normal functionality of other applications.

*Solution*
You can reinstall Audio driver without that pesky program, or you can just simply disable it.

To disable it you need to go to Services:

press Windows + R, type services.msc and press Enter

or

on your taskbar search window enter Services. Which ever way takes you fancy

Once you'll find "Nahimic service" in the list, Right click->Properties. Then set Startup type to Disabled, and apply the changes.

From there you only need to restart your system, and don't worry about crashes anymore.
Disabling it shouldn't cause any problems, as it won't impact how Audio works on your system.

I did the same still cant get the game to launch I am using MSI laptop. I know there are several games that have issues with the Nahimic service but I've even stopped other services still cant find the issue. Had no issue before update. Updated drivers and made sure to reinstall the graphic driver still no go.

In that case, you should try to use diagnostic and benchmark tools to determine whether or not you don't have any faulty hardware, if you haven't done that already.

If there are no issues with your hardware, checking for problems in your OS would be the next step.

You should report your problem to satisfactory q&a website aswell.

i had the same issue for a while now (crashes every 5-30 minutes). it seems that it got resolved by updating the frequency of my RAM from 3200MHz to 3066MHz (with 3200MHz being my max. frequency).
i tried the "NahimicService"-Fix aswell as some possible fixes with Fullscreen (and tabbing out). Both didn't have any impact on my experience.
