Some poeple think that dedicated server would resolve everything, but actually, it's the opposite. With dedicated server, there would be no host and just clients, hence, there would be no way to get around bugs anymore!
In facts, they need to fix all MP bugs BEFORE releasing dedicated server. :)
That said, most issues are more of the inconvenience type, while larger issues are typically squashed within the week of emerging. I think the bug that introduced clients breaking resource extractors, a fairly large issue if you want to play with friends and let them actually get stuff done without you babysitting them, was fixed in just 2 days.
Yes, they're going to end it in November.
