Light / shadow
hello,

I couldn't find case via search. Mea culpa.

When I walk near walls then the light illuminates a part of that wall and "walks with me". It illuminates like ~ 10 meters around me, rest is dark. And when I go forth and back it follows me. Weird as heck
Can I change that? My settings are medium

removed screens, obsolete

especially on the right side. You can see, the shadow fades the closer I am.
Edit:
It is the shadow setting. On medium it doesn't work at all. On high it's good but kinda too much for my potato it seems lol

Ok stupid question - you accidentally turn on your flashlight? *B Key by default*

Also screenshots are not really obvious about the issue.

Oh no. It is the setting. On medium the light is like a bubble around me that follows me and illuminates the surroundings, but only like 10 meters. So it is noticeable a lot and annoying kind of. Super weird xD

on high everything is fine

Hmm - guess I need more coffee - just not really seeing it I guess. Sorry.

I do see some weirdness on lights in my factory areas - but its more of an illumination effect by my ginormous lamps that causes a weird checkerboard effect.

Anyway.

I'll wait for someone else to point it out I guess.

The screens are not the best. A video would be better, sorry.

Its a performance saving thing in coding games. Every, most, studios have to judge what will be playable on most systems. If there is an Ultra Max Sparklies setting that some people cant run they will cry about it. Though they won't have to actually choose that setting to play a game.

I put the game on medium and shadows on high and now it's totally fine.
I think this is the first time I have seen someone solve their own problem in front of us....
