fuel guide request
does any1 have an updated fuel guide in SF that 1 isnt turbo fuel and 2 isnt several years old pretty pls?

Anything older than a month (before the drop of 1.0) will be outdated for sure

Give them a little time and I'm sure one will drop, they need time to learn this 'new' game ;o)

What kinda specific info were ye looking for cuz for the most part, its all still accurate

mostly how to make enough fuel from 3x 240 nodes for a decent power gen

The current meta is making rocket fuel, just use HOR alt, diluted fuel (packaged or not) alt, and the normal rocket fuel recipe (the alt doesn't let you use up the compacted coal produced, and uses like twice as much sulfur).

This produces 2222.22 RF from 600 CO, enough for 533.33 gens, so ~133,333 MW, minus the ~6,674 MW to produce it (assuming no overclocking).

Also, the floating point number bug in pipes is fixed according to the devs, so don't worry about that. There's currently a bug with floor holes, so don't use those until it's fixed. And also, fuel gens take/produce twice as much now. I believe anything else should be the same as pre-1.0.

If you want to know more about the recipes, just read the wiki and play around with one of the calculators.

ok tho idk how to get rocket fuel since it requires a HD to unlock and ive not found anymore so

Just look around. There's fewer in the start zones, so if you haven't gone out you won't find as many. They're generally pretty obvious.

ok tho ive flown bout 90% of the map and at most found like barely 20 HD max

If you want to find them yourself you can use the radio towers and/or the MAM HD scanning upgrade.

1 Pure Crude Oil = 600 oil/min
to
4 Refineries (use 150 each)
400 fuel to
8 Fuel Gens (use 50 each)

Sink all polymer by product

= 5,000MW

Gotta use mk2 pipes for the 600/min.

Once it is up and running, it takes most of one fuel gen's output to power it all IIRC, but still leaves 4350+MW. If you mean how to initially power it; coal power setup.

The really major power upgrades are
- Diluted fuel (plus heavy oil recipe)
- from turbo to Rocket fuel (especially slooped)
There are plenty of other lesser upgrades, but those 2 are the monster upgrades that give most of your mid game power growth. Unlock them before doing a major upgrade. Ion fuel is a good upgrade and necessary for peak power, and gets a respectable energy boost from slooping. You might be okay without it though.

Uh, BTW, my understanding is that turning RF into ionized fuel actually reduces the amount of power you make, unless you sloop it. It makes me very sad, second only to the BS that is ficsonium fuel rods (totally not worth it due to excessive SAM costs).
