Water extraction problem
Hi I have my water extractor piped up to a coal generator and hooked up to power. There is a pump also hooked up inline. The extractor is powered up but no water is flowing
Any idea what could be wrong

It has power? the pump is aiming in the right direction?

All kinds of things

But before we get every Tom, ♥♥♥♥, and Harry coming in here posting all of their fixes and what the issue is with no idea what is actually going on and have you wasting your time chasing tails of dogs which don't exist, post some screenshots of your setup

Thanks. I will check the pump direction first then post some screenshots

first step is to trace the path and see where you have water and where you do not. Start with the pump and see if its buffer has filled up. then check the pipe segments one at a time and see if they are full or not full. Once you find the first segment where its not full then you found the point where the problem exists. ONce you know that you need to come back here and describe exactly what you see on either side of the point of failure, if there is any pumps or valves or if its on a rising section of pipe or at pipe wall/floor holes.

Alot of the time removing and replacing the affected parts might solve it. Sometimes its a headlift issue. Also let us know if your are dealing with mk1 or mk2 pipes/pumps as there are some not so obvious oddities when using mk2 stuff.

Ok. I have a MK1 pump. It is facing the correct way. There is water stored in the extractor. The extractor is only about 10 metres from the generator. With a slight incline. I will add some screenshots later

find out which pipe segment has fluid and/or flow and which segment doesnt have it. Your issue will iie right at the point between in nearly every case.

pump itself is powered too? it's possible you had a pipe connector down, connected pipes to it n then deleting the pipe connector leaves a gap, done that a few times. As Huren said, follow the pipes until you find one with no water

you said the water extractor is connected to power, if so it should be spinning and have water n yeah just follow the pipe to the break in the link.

Providing that every thing that needs power has it, then its in your pipe segments somewhere. Its unbelievably easy to get a bad connection on one of the pipes. The way the pipes snap onto other plumbing can cause it to clip through instead of connecting.

This happens to me fairly frequently. Pipes also seem to just bug out often, even if connected properly and stop working. If I can't get the liquid to flow and I'm sure everything is powered up I start rebuilding pipes.

Are you running the pipe through a floor/wall hole? I had a similar problem and the fix was deleting the pipe and hole and rebuilding them and it fixed the flow problem.

thanks. got it working. i had to reroute the pipeline
