I can't mess with liquid extractors

I have a problem with the resource well extractor, they won't let me place it

If try to place something on a well you have to first put down a well presurizer and after you powered that you can put down the extractors.

Also make sure that you aren't trying to use your oil or water extractor on a resource well, because that won't work.

are you placing it on the crude oil nodes or is it a water extractor

Are you at the proper node? It's not uncommon to mix up the various nodes.

Oil Nodes need an Oil Extractor.

Nitrogen/Water/Oil Wells need a Well Pressurizer / Extractor.

Do you have a screenshot of the issue you can share?

Water extractors, you place on deep open water e.g. a lake or the ocean.

Oil extractors, place on oil nodes.

Resource Well Pressurisers, place on oil/water/nitrogen wells.

Oil nodes look like black splotches on the ground.
Wells look like a web of rocky cracks.

You are probably trying to place a water extractor on a well - wells were a relatively late addition to the game, the game does not yet do a good job of explaining the difference

I'd think after 900hrs OP knows the difference between oil and water, or open water and water wells..

Have you tried other wells, i.e., is it broken for all wells, or just 1?
