something along the lines of that
Fuel Gens increase from 150mw to 250mw
150mw/3 = 50mw
4.5m3/3 = 1.5m3
So 50mw is 1.5m3
50mw*5 = 250mw -- 1.5m3*5 = 7.5m3
Thus 250mw is 7.5m3 now
That is just an old video you are watching.
Same burn rate per MW just more power per Fuel Gen
Lower a gen to 150 mw, it will burn at 4.5m3
before it was ketchup or mustard, now we have one for up fast, and another for hangtime.
imo Turbo blend fuel is the only good turbo fuel recipe when it comes to resources and power demand.
The reason is that if you burn the coal you don't use in the blender recipe and make turbo fuel with the blender you get the most power out of the same bunch of oil, coal and sulfur.
Before Tier 7 diluted packaged fuel does the trick for me.
I recently setup an Ionized fuel factory and the byproduct compacted coal comes in handy to mix with diluted fuel to lower the oil demand. So this is the only reason (imo) to use the regular turbo fuel recipe.
When you make ionized fuel make sure you got the alternate to mix with dark crystals because it costs less power, resources and makes more byproduct to mix with fuel.
But the only real rule with a game is to have fun so don't forget that :)
I jumped into 1.0 with a 50GW diluted fuel/ turbo blend fuel plant and the only fix I had to do was underclocking some generators and removing a lot of them.
So then theoretically if I just drop the generators he used in the video by like 2/3's it should still all function the same then right?
Fuel powerplants were buffed in 1.0 so you get more power and a higher burn rate. its still same power/fuel but you need to build fewer power plants now. I assume that what you're referencies is content from before 1.0 released.
250/150 = (1+2/3)
150/250 = 0,6
