Hypertube Meta in 1.0?
Hey guys I haven't played since update 0.7 and haven't really been following the game much. Has the hypertube meta changed at all in 1.0? I currently have a single one way tube going between 2 bases and plan to expand that to a network. What's the best way of doing that? Any simple or straightforward guides? Thanks.

Question? What’s a Hyper Loop, meta?

Just add another section with entrance nearby the exit of already present hyperloop

So you now have A to B and then B will be hub to go to C or back to A

From to C to A you'll need to pass thru B... Eventually you can do a closed circular line connecting C to A

Much like a metro

Oh, you mean a hyper tube

Simplest way to build a hypertube network without being redundant? I've seen a lot of dudes build 2 tubes side by side, with one tube sending you there, and the other back due to getting stuck on the accelerators/support at the end.

Yeah I was thinking of a central hub somewhere in the middle of the map. Did you do a one way tunnel? What did you do about the ending where you get stuck on the supports?

The best way to use hypertubes has always been, and still is, to stack multiple entrances to gain a lot of extra speed, then launch yourself into the air, and break your fall with a parachute/jetpack when you have arrived at a desired destination. Much faster than using hypertubes normally, costs less materials to build and it's faster to set up. Gets you to the other end of the map in under a minute. That's the "meta" so to speak.

I still prefer the tube cannons, so I can steer in the air to decide where I land. But afaik not much should have changed with the tubes in general, if anything at all. Seems to work like before in our game.

Only drawback might be the power required to have multiple cannons facing different directions and then cannons for the way back.

Oh yeah the canons. Can't remember whey I never built that instead. Will stacking enough entrances be able to generate enough momentum to carry you across the entire map?

Theoretically yes, but it can be a bit tricky, as you cannot go too high upwards(you just die at a certain level, or has that changed with UE5?). High tier belts speeding you up into the first entrance and good jetpack fuel then help to achieve that,

Yeah, if you build multiple of them it's going to start stacking up. But by the point you actually start needing those I think you're capable of building a very robust power infrastructure with a lot of spare energy. It's a good investment too, saves a lot of time travelling.

Yes, I am using them in my current game. 12 entrances and a 45 degree launch angle is enough to launch yourself from the grass plains all the way to the dunes that way, with a little help from a Jetpack to extend the trajectory and break the fall.

Ok cool, I'm gonna try the canon. My factory is currently generating 25k MW of power and everything is using less than 10k MW and I'm at tier 8. I guess my factory could support it but yeah those entrances are thirsty. The canon is the absolute meta by far. Only 3 entrances vs 10 just for one way. No brainier really.

You could use a cyclotron hypertube cannon, it only takes 3 entrances and can get you across the map if you have a jetpack
