Antivirus software saying update is infected with virus.
So anyone else having this problem? I have Avast and when I try to update right now it blocks it saying: "FactoryGameSteam-GeometryAlgorithms-Win64-Shipping.dll is infected with Win64:Evo-gen [Trj]"

Before I mess around with my scanner to ignore it I want to make sure no one else is having this issue.

It's avast, worst AV ever

most AVs are almost as bad as viruses themselves; Avast, McCaffe, and Norton especially are borderline malware, they destroy your PC's performance, false positive innocent files, miss actual viruses.

just use the the stock windows defender, don't run things in administrator mode, have a proper firewall set up, use a good adblocker, and don't download sketchy torrents.

Windows defender will still get hurt performance but not as bad as most corporate antiviruses.

Avast is the problem, not the update.

The virus is whatever dogwater antivirus you have installed. Windows defender, use common sense and whenever you think you have an issue do a scan with malwarebytes (it's free) and you'll be good.

Malwarebytes is also going down the drain, lots of false positives these days.
