Have you set a static IP in the hosts OS itself?
Does the host OS have more than one IP?
You shouldn't have to use the multihost option if your server has only one static IP.

What do you mean "cant change the ip, and if I do the server crashes"?
If the server works and you can connect to it, why change the ip?

If you DO want to change the ip, you don't change ip with a game server software. You change it with the operating system and then configure the server.

I can connect to it but my friend cant because its running on my local pc IP and not on the router opend ip. I have the speedport hybrid

It's not "runing on an ip". It is running, that's it.
No idea what you mean by "the router opened ip".
What you want is your router to forward the data to your computer.

Open correct ports on your router and forward them to your computer.

You don't give him Your IP, as that would only work on the local network
you give him the Modem's IP
Your router may need to have the Ports forward to your computer for this to wrong.

I have my own server, satisfactory is using 127.0.0.1 as the IP, how do I change it to the servers static IP? Where is the file to edit the IP?

that isn't how that works, your IP the world sees, and someone would need to connect to is your Modem's and it might not be static, depends on your ISP

I'll just copy paste answer from similar thread... Reading your posting history, you have a way to double post... stop it.

"Never EVER go and expose dedicated server to internet without basic understanding of network security and how TCP/IP works... you're asking for being attacked by script-kiddies and other nasties.

Do you want to know how much different entities are knocking on my firewall to try and reach obvious ports that might have services that answer and could be exploited or brute forced?

Hundreds of thousands of times per week, continuously 24/7.

And I'm just some guy with nothing truly worthy behind my wall, except the possibility to use my devices as part of botnet.

It's a mess. Luckily I've done my due-diligence on basics. *knocks on wood*

If you wish to run a dedicated server while exposing the IP to wide world, you NEED TO KNOW YOUR SHAIT."

I’m going to agree with Icchan, here because, you don’t know enough about this, better to pay for a rental server instead.

No, that is not the ip of the machine, that is the localhost.
If you are on linux:
ip addr

But the ip of the local server ip has nothing to do with how your friend connects, he connects to your PUBLIC ip address, the ip address you use on the internet.
The only use you have for the local server ip is to tell your router to forward incoming traffic to the server. And you do that by forwarding ports that the server is listening to, you should read documentation on witch ports.

But as others have stated, what you are doing are risky things if you do not understand what you are doing.

I have had conan exiles, V Rising, atlas, ARK and many others running on my server. In all of those I have to enter in a IP in the config's. Does satisfactory automatically use the static IP I have for my server? I have the satisfactory server running and when I try and connect with my internal IP I have set for that server it says the server is off line. I hope this makes it clearer. I dont play with people (hate em) just want to play alone.

oh, then just use 127.0.0.1, if on the same machine
If on another machine on the network, you just need the IP the router gives that machine with the server. no configuration needed, beside maybe port forwarding.

You are far less likely to get help by insulting people.

There is a config file for the server. You do need to use your public IP address. You do need to port forward your public IP address to your local server IP address.
