Generally speaking:
Some modders updated their mods whe Update 8 came out,
other modders wait for 1.0.
I do suffer motion sickness in games as well.... and very badly.
Now i'm at 800+ hours and never got problems.
Didn't even changed FOV (that usually I always have to change in hope to mitigate sickness)
(anyway you can change it if needed)
Just to mention how bad some games are to me.... Sometime I get sickness just watching YT gameplays in a window
I can't guarantee you that your beloved won't have sickness as everyone is different, but I can say that you should be pretty safe.
enjoy and tell us your decision and how it goes :)
just stay away from the parachute. this is known/infamous for a sickening resp. disturbing landing sequence, especially if you try to land on a spot.
anyway I used it just once just to see what was and how it worked....
never had any real need/urge to use it anyway
I don't normally get motion sickness myself, but even I started to feel a little sick right after typing that out and had to take a break. Hopefully it's just one of those games I have to get used to, like Dying Light was for me. I'm still feeling a little nauseous.
Okay cool, I'll check that out for sure, if it's not up to date I'll probably hold off until 1.0. I wasn't even intending to play until 1.0, but curiosity got the best of me.
I prefer Power Pole gliding and trains.
Apart from that topic there is no reason to wait for 1.0. The game is fully playable. It has still building quirks and peculiarities which need workarounds - but they are (probably) also not all solved till 1.0. It's a small studio, it takes time. Most important is they keep working and improving, day by day.
It's really a great game.... I never tought I would have liked it so much. I'm not in this genre myself and have motion sickness as well with anything it's 3d first person....
so it was a double bet.... and even knowing i get myself with hundred hours.
suggestion (valid for any game) to prevent motion/simulation sickness or try to...
- configure fixed frames (30 or 60 whatever) and vsync
- if possible play third person or at least have an object shown in hand that is always about in middle of screen
- change FOV (I usually set it to 95) but value and necessity may depend on game and person and eventually type of eye correction
- don't run having a wall moving (like strafing) and don't keep a wall moving too close your visual
- games with open visuals
How are doing?
Now or never!
