They were very non-committal about upgrading to Unreal Engine 5, all the while they were actually working on it
Why need roads when the vehicles look like offroad vehicles?
Some places are not accessible enough and need some foundations but there is no need to cover the map with roads I think.
On the account of road building:
It does need alot of improvement and so does railbuilding. I hate trains because of this.
because part of the satisfaction is building clean looking infrastructure :) plus offroad or not, roads would help fuel efficiency IRL, among other things (I would expect)
Disappointing about the trains, I havent got to them yet :/
Building/snapping under rails then deleting the rail is a good enough for funky 2D curves (yet still 'hacky' in OPs parlance), but the 3D aspect to it is lost.
joke aside pls we want roads we want round building blocks
Also, roads make everything look clean and add efficiency as mentioned above.
We already have the rounded corner pieces, but they are only hard 90 degree turn, and using half foundation with them is best.
What I'm talking about is 2 new Foundation pieces that have two 8m sides Using a 15 degree curve, one outer edge (Pie slice) and one inner (which would be kinda like the one we have now just bigger and at 15 degree bend)
I still need to make a platform for the track and I would like it to turn with the track. Plus I like using the Explorer to get point to point at times.
I'm not demanding a fully flexible conveyor belt like system (though it would be awesome), just a few new slightly curved blocks would do...
