Update 8

Hi, Update 8 is another disappointment for me. The last progress in production was with the advent of drones in update 4, which is already two years old. I haven't had anything new to send into space for a long time. The game goes back to the archive. Good luck to everyone.

Update 8 has yet very much new more than with U7 and U6
and you can be curious what comes with version 1.0.

They are holding back anything that could led to the story of the game...

Anything that remotely could leak to that is taken out from releases until final.

unfortunately update 8 is one of the weaker ones in terms of content.
7 wasn´t rich in content either... so i guess if you stopped with 6 you should wait for 9 or 1.0

Yeah... update 8 is an engine update, not a content update...

Accurate opinions. There is clearly a lack of additional story content. There is no further challenge. The cosmetic changes are nice, but boring from the perspective of long-time players. What will U10 bring next year? I'll be surprised.

Been playing since 2020, I'm always glad to see the game improving the way it is, to me it's not just about content, and we've been treated on that aspect on previous updates. But graphics and performance also play a big part in gaming experience.
It is true though that I've never been the kind to milk each and every updates

I think they have hinted since update 6 that they don't plan to add any more major production features or tiers. Update 8 is mostly visual and I think update 9 will be mostly adding the last quality of life features. 1.0 will probably bring in the complete story mode and final polish.

Upgrading the engine is a big deal. That plus some QoL additions (breakers + big poles) isn't the most in terms of content, but it's addressing some long-standing concerns and should smooth out the game.
